Thread: Another example of mask scent not being right
Last night on Naboo I had an odd experience.
Nothing long or drawn out hehe
I was standing 70m away from a female plains tusk cat.
My was not masked.
I activated mask scent and it immediately attacked me, warping 70m and DB me in 2 shots...hardly fair.
Obviously you are not talking about the current Test Center changes, as the attack from 70m on break and the warping issue have been fixed with the recent patch to TC. ![]()
"I notice that when I group with other rangers they very rarely use MS at all let alone camo. "
I'm playing on TC right now with a group of Scouts...
We all use /maskscent quite successfully... and it actually helps on occasion ![]()
----
Things are getting better... In two weeks, /maskscent will once again be a viable tool.
i dont use camo myself... maskscent works just fine for me.. hardly ever breaks i was at the krayt graveyard earlier today and it didnt break untill i was 15m away from one
"hardly ever breaks i was at the krayt graveyard earlier today and it didnt break untill i was 15m away from one"
I don't think /maskscent works that way...
It checks at 64m and then you are safe for a certain amount of time.
When the timer wears out,the critter will check again.
If you have moved to within 40m during that time, you will probably be attacked if the scent breaks.
Distance does not appearto be a factor in the effectiveness of /maskscent though. ![]()
both camo and maskscent are not viable tools for me as they break within seconds of application, I have stopped using them all togheter as a Master Ranger my greatest fear is no man or beast, Its my maskscent ability.
Sidenote, If I was a melee person I would like couse its good to pull 1 mob out of a big group but since Im a rifleman with a 250% melee damage penalty I rather not use it.
Guys,
We know there are problems with maskscent now.
The good news is, there are additional fixes coming. N'Raas and I are checking them out now.
So hopefully, we won't have any more of these threads soon.
(But I won't hold my breath.)
