Thread: creature eff.
Hi, I hope someone could tell me exactly how the eff. (for example cold dam.)Under the special protection stats in the examine window work?
For example if a creature has eff. cold 25% - will i do 25%more cold dam. then?
Aethlon Surbaa <SITH> - Bria
Then its got 25% cold resist. Dont really know how they calculate the damage, but i guess its 25% less cold damage it will take if you use a cold damage weapon.
basics of armor -
Armor rating = none, light, medium or heavy
for every category that the armor is higher than the penetration of your weapon your damage is reduced by 50%. example - an AT-ST (heavy armor) gets shot by a cdef pistol (no penetration), the damage is reduced by 50%, then the remainder is reduced again by 50%, then the remainder is reduced again by 50%. So the cdef does roughly 12% of the damage it would have done against an unarmored opponent.
Effectiveness
This category will have several damage types under it with a percentage. This is the baseline effectiveness of the armor so all the percentages will be the same. This percentage is subtracted from whatever damage is left over from the base Armor rating.
Special Protection
This category works the same as the Effectiveness category. This is where any damage type that does not have the same percentage as the baseline goes.
Vulnerabilities
The armor provides NO protection of any type from any damage type listed here. Against a creature with light or medium armor it is usually worthwhile to switch to a weapon type that does damage that it is vulnerable to.
