I have not see anyone mention the fact that our Creature to Hit bonus only works with a basic attack, not specials. Now I don't know about you guys, but I sure as hell don't use basic attacks when I am trying to take down a pack of Seething Bols or Picket Protectors. Can someone explain the rationale for this? It just doesn't make sense to me... come to think of it most of the current issues with our profession don't make any sense at all.

Don't forget this only works with ranged attacks not melee so it even more useless than you think

I just can NOT believe that one of the biggest benefits (of the so very **edit** few we have) is so entirely CRIPPLED in this way.

Just to get it straight... this ONLY works for ranged, auto-attacks???? If that is true, I guess I feel deeply for all of my Melee/Rangers and I can not believe how mother-loving stupid the developers of this game are.

Sincerely disappointed in myself for ever giving the Devs the benefit of a doubt,

"Is this true?"

As far as I know, the Creature-to-Hit bonus has always been this way.

It says so right in the description:

"Skilled scouts and rangers have gained the ability to strike creatures more effectively. This raw to-hit bonus only applies to normal ranged attacks." (Emphasis mine).

I don't doubt that its always been this way, even though I wasn't aware of it. But what POSSIBLE reason could there be for this limitation??? Its positively ludicrous.

Is the fact that it has always been this way supposed to mitigate theissue that this specification is totally borked? There is no way anyone in their right mind would hunt any decently lvl'd animal with normalattacks only. So, exactly what goodis this "benefit"?

Ok, let us say that it was meant to be used in conjuction with special attacks.........Hmmm,....normal attacks=health pool/random pool, so the only effective combo is with a special pistol attack. Now that is what I call balanced!
