Strangely, I can't seem to find anything on either planet that drops avian. Even gleaming lantern birds (on endor) drop herbivore. Has anyone found a beastie on either planet you can harvest for avian meat?

Plus I like going to SWG craft to update there for rangers and crafter/Scout of starsider server for the quality of the resoucres and all to.

Endor Avian meat tough to find since only creature I know off hand that spawns it is Age Latern Bird if right and not one counterparts like latern bird or gleamings if that web site i got info off is right and all.

One more thing I forgot add to the lastpost if go to swc creatures be sure help keep it updated and all since I know most creature on the list are not update since all the stats where form the previous patch before last patch we had for resit and damage and what not. But stats for what they give off for the meat,hide and bone should accurate and all to it and all.

The Docs on Farstar are going mad over this stuff, bit of a catch 22 when it comes to getting it though, going to Endor to get it really requires a Doc in the party - and they moan that they use more stims healing the hunters than they can make from the resulting harvest..!

The only thing on Endor that I know of that drops Avian is the Bark Mite Burrower Queen. NOt the regular ones, they drop insect meat, but only the Queen. This is a CL60 creature and I am pretty sure that even though I didn't kill any, I did examine one to confirm this. The Lantern Birds do drop herbivore.. at least all of the ones I have seen and killed.

I don't know of any Avians on Dantooine, although I seem to remember some online database saying that Dantooine had Giant Peko Pekos... but I have never seen any there. I have only seen those on Naboo.

Thanks for the info Pathe. Neither of the sites above had any info on avians onendoror dantunfortunately. I guess I'll just write off avian on those two planets, since even if I find something that drops it harvesting any kind of quantity will be impossible.

I don't think either planet HAS "avians." Mantigrues are carnivores, Lantern Birds are herbivores, and there's nothing that flies on Dant =)

Avian Meat is really a pain in the butt... for numerous reasons.

1. Half the time, things that you would think had Avian meat don't and things that you wouldn't think have it do. Reptilian Fliers have Avian Meat.... HELLO? They are Reptilian??? Choku's which look like a cross between a dog and a sheep have Avian meat. Lantern BIRDS do NOT have Avian meat.


2. Most of the drops are tiny... All the common Avian drops are CL21 and lower, which means you have to kill TONS of them to make a decent harvest. There are some bigger ones (Peko Albatross, Ancient Reptilian Fliers, etc) but they are very hard to find.


3. Flying critters are a total pain in the butt to hunt for the most part as they tend to fly around all the time while you are trying to get a bead on them, and they love to fly like 100m right before they die. Thanks for the walk, Mr. Perlek!


But... the meat is highly profitable so I guess we can just tough it out.
