Thread: Camps take a blow

I'm sort of torn on this but I just read in the CH forums that the mid-late Feb patch will allow pets and vehicles to be pulled out in the wild without the use of camps.

Mostly I'm glad because I hate putting up a camp for 3 seconds to pull out pets/bikes but getting frustrated because it's just one more thing that makes us Rangers (really scouts) useless.

I think it is ok. I hate having to pop a camp for 4 seconds worht of work. I still use the HTFB on hunts to heal. SO at least camping will move more towards what it was meant for, and it will allow some people to regain some skill points that really didn't need to be spent. Plus, I have non-ranger characters taht keep having their vehicles auto store. But in all honesty, I don't think anyone can give me a solid reason why it should have ever been that way (because it has always been that way is not a valid arguement). I was more broken up that CM were given terrain negotiation and I will be much more unhappy if BH get traps or tracking or med or CH or SQL or <insert profession here> skills that they did not earn. To make a long thread short...calling items without camps is a not bad thing.

I feel the same way. Camps were pretty worthless before, and now twice as worthless as they were, but I'm not going to miss having to carry around crates of tents. I was kind of hoping they would make pulling out vehicles and pets in the wild, a ranger perk, but again rangers don't seem to be on the devs minds much these days. *sigh*

Personally I feel that vehicles/mounts should have been able to be called everywhere, but non-mount pets and droids should still have required a camp to pull out.

.. but that's just me.

take a moment to look at the droid engineers....bein on the devs minds isn't exactly a good thing lately. :/
