Thread: New Master Ranger on Lowca Just in Time for Nerfs
I just made Master Ranger so I head to the Ranger Forum to announce my ascension (as has been the practice of Rangers, generally) where I discover that changes in the next patch will make our camps virtually useless.
Does anyone have a good reason why I shouldn't drop to 0440 or 0040 and use the extra skill points to augment my combat skills or start pursuing my (first) holocron profession? I like being a Ranger and I was really excited to make Master, but it doesn't seem to be worth it.

Well... If a player considered the ability to pull pets/vehicles as only the redeeming ability of a camp, then yes they are now virtually worthless.
For everyone who used camps for other reasons: such as the healing modifier, the stations,or as an ego booster, then the camps still have that purpose. 
Why do so many Rangers keep saying that change is going to makeus useless?
I never considered the basic camp kits I got as a novice scout as the defining skill of the Ranger profession. And if there are people out there who only pop ranger level camps for the few seconds it takes to pull a vehicle, I have never seen them.

That would be a strange breed of Ranger indeed.
"Hey I want to pull my pet, can you set up a camp?"
"Yeah just a second while I craft a High Tech Field Base."

A Doctor guild mate (who is helping me get to TKA novice thank goodness) of mine was baffled last night because his mind wounds were decreaasing while he was buffing us in my HTFB. He was very impressed but still used his droid to get the best buffs he could. The point being, some people still don't know the capabilites of camps. On another note, I take much crap when my group members get aggroed inside the HTFB
