Thread: Is there a map out there that lists what the names of different areas are?
Like, if you do a /who , you'll get a list of people who are on that planet, and many times it says (Name) (Title) is on the Fields of Banir (sp?) Dantooine.
That Fields of Banir part I am interested in. Different areas of planets have different names, so is there a map out there that has a documentation of the planet and its regions? Or shall I start compiling it myself? - Sven
Not that I know of.
I look at stuff I am about to buy on vendors to find out the names of the region I am in.
Just recently learned I live in the Crimson Flats - odd, no crimson razor cats live here, wrong planet.

The reason I am interested in this, ( aside from being a dumbass who would feel cool referencing the different areas by their name) is that if your trying to track a player and you can find what planet he or she is on, you can do a /who to find out what area they are. Then go to that area and then /areatrack in that area for them. Its just a little trick I think could help out.
If anyone is interested in helping out by documenting the planets regions so we can compile the maps, let me know and we can get started.
A friend Scarin gave this idea to me, but he doesnt frequent the boards as much, so I figured I would it bring to attention here.

Thats a neat trick indeed, a regional map would be very handy. Sounds like a major pain to do though.

then click under planetary maps...pretty good stuff, although tough to print with the margins the way they are.
