Thread: Lets revisit the Pack Animal Idea

I was reading the SotP on NRaas' links and one of the things that I havent heard about lately is the pack animal idea.
As of now, most of us have mounts.
I have respect for the Creature Handlers who train mounts, however, I am a little perturbed in the way that the saddle magically appears on the creature. I know that this has been suggested before, but here goes....
The tailor creates a custom saddle for the mount that has storage space in the pack...(50 or so, like a backpack), the only restriction is, is that these saddlebags can only be used to store organic materials like bone, hide, meat, milk etc.
This would make it a very useful resource for both scouts and rangers.
As for the application of the saddlebag, the tailor does that, because they would have the know how to modify the existing saddle and make it better.
What do you all think?

In order to have a better chance at getting something like this implemented, we need to make the item more generally applicable.
I would suggest making a saddlebag able to hold all types of resource containers for instance.

I was busting my brain to see how this could be a ranger thing and I lost sight that there were non-rangers in the galaxy.
