What are our four trees?

  • Camo (Wayfaring)

  • Camping

  • Tracking

  • Trapping

Now, there's no way to combine camping and trapping, or camping and tracking...

Why not combine Camping and Camoflague though?

  • At Frontiering 1 add in 3 new camps

    • Corellian, Nabooian, and Tattooinian Camo camps.

  • At Frontiering 2 add in 2 new camps

    • Rori and Talus Camo camps

  • At Frontiering 3 add in 2 new camps

    • Dantooine and Yavin camo camps

  • At Frontiering 4 add in 2 new camps

    • Endor and Lok camo camps

Make each camp require its equivalent in a Camoflague kit to be used (You can't make a Rori Camo Camp without a Rori Camo Kit, meaning that Wayfaring 2 is required as Well as Frontiering 2).

Make it so that while in a camo camp, both the camp itself and everyone in it, isCOMPLETELY INVISIBLE to NPC's, creatures, and players. 100% mask scent that lasts only while you are in the camp.

If a player wanders into the camp, then they will be able to seeeveryone within.

If a player in the camp attacks someone outside of the camp, then everything in the camp can be seen. (IE : It loses the camo while the player is attacking) After the fight ends, the camp becomes invisible after X amount of time (20 seconds maybe?).

The camps would not drop during combat, would not heal, but would still allow bikes to be pulled out and would grant camping XP.

This would add in a new element to PvP for the ranger : sneak attacks and ambushes You'd have to set it up carefully, where you know an enemy would be attacking, but it could be devastatingly effective.

Thoughts?

Good idea

But the Devs are loath to let anyone be "invisible" to players. Unless they change their minds, this idea is dead in the water,

I do like it tho. Has a lot of merit.

Another EXCELLENT idea that will not get implemented because of lack of vision and forethought on behalf of those that do the aforementioned "implementation".

Good try anyway,

Khyron,

Darn good idea, Im not sure that I like the invisible idea, but that would be really cool to have a nice planet specific camp.

Lets hope this gets some attention

Aye... Planet specific camps have been suggested in the past.

There is a reference to combining a camo kit with a camp kit to create a camp that repels creatures more effectively on the SotP.

I think its time to freshen that request up a little.

I believe there is also a very similar request to combine camps and conceal in the Outdoorsman Proposal in the form of a Camoflauge Netting Module:

  • Camoflauge Netting

    • Module Level: 4
    • Module Type: Generic
    • Profession: Ranger
    • Cost: Moderate (8)
    • Description: Applies concealment to a members of the tenders group while in the camp

  • However it is implemented, combining conceal and camps is a very good idea that I'd love to see implemented. Imagine being able to hide a whole group of players in a camoflauge-netted camp that stays up in combat and provides offensive and defensive bonuses

    Either way it happens,

with the camoflague module or the insertion of the camo kit, the graphic of a desert command tent compared with a twisted wood dathomir tent, and the serene nature of the dantooine tent would be a welcome addition to our profession.

My only fear is that it would merely be a cosmetic change and not a functional change

"My only fear is that it would merely be a cosmetic change and not a functional change"

Well... If the developers do go through the effort to add the ability to combine camo kits and camps, they will probably add some form of functionality to make the effort worthwhile.

I too would agree that something along these lines would be really great in game. The total invis to players, while cool, is probably too much though.... and they have been pretty stead fast on not allowing players to be invisible to eachother.

As a side note, if it was done, and stayed up during combat... can you just imagine getting turned around after a fierce battle and not being able to find your camp?
