Thread: Market for Camo kits?

I'm wondering if any of the Rangers here have any success in selling crates of camo kits, either on the bazaar or to other rangers.

If so, what are your pricing schemes?

Finally, did we ever come to a definite conclusion on whether or not a Ranger that can't craft kits for higher level planets can use them?

I have been selling camo kits on the bazzar on the Scyla server. They don't sell really well, but they still sell. The cost is2.5k for the kits and I only sell the ones for the advanced planets (Dath, Endor, Yavin, and Dant).

I conducted a test on using the higher level camo kits by dropping Master Ranger and 2 boxed in Wayfairing. I was still able to useall of the kits that I had made, including theDathomar camo kit.

On Naritus a fellow named Kake started a string of stores and is acting as a front for various crafters. I made him crates of traps, camps and camo kits to sell but I haven't heard from him how well the sales are going, however he only had the grand opening last Sunday so it's a bit early.

As a Novice Ranger with only 1 box in Wayfaring (and perpetually maxxed skill points) I might consider crates of kits for the advanced planets if they weren't too expensive.

Centurion, since you're pretty much my target market, I'm curious what you would consider to be too expensive. Would you pay 10k for a crate of 10 Yavinian kits, 13 uses apiece? 15k? It seems like 10k is around the minimum to make a decent product, considering the potential cpu, since I could be selling the materials that I used to craft the kits instead.

dont know about camo kits, as i craft them myself. but i do buy crates (25) of HFTB's for 10k each just easier that way and I dont have to worry about finding the resources and time to craft them.

The price I was using as a base (having no idea how to price those) was 3cpu for the resources. We'll see how well they do.

I'd consider 10k for a crate of 10/13 to be a pretty good deal. If I were leading a guild hunt I'd probably even pay 15k for a crate and buy several since the usage rate would be much higher. It would probably be a good investment based on why we were hunting that planet (resources, loot or whatever). But I'm pretty solvent having dabbled in the resource harvesting trade for awhile and perused the boards for tailors, BEs and weapon/armorsmiths who need organics.

I only use them to give "mask scent" to non-scout/ranger people in the group.

"There were young knights among them who had never been present at a stricken field. Some could not look upon it, some could not speak. They held themselves apart from the others who were cutting down prisoners at my lord's orders, for the prisoners were a body too numerous to be guarded by those of us who were left.
Then Jean de Rrye, an aged knight of Burgundy who had been sore wounded in the fight, rode up to the group of young knights and said: "are ye maidens with your downcast eyes? Look well upon it. See all of it. Close your eyes to nothing. For the battle is fought to be won, and this is what happens if you lose."

I'm resurrecting this post since someone just asked me today to make them a crate of Dathomir camo kits. I haven't put much time into them -- I usually get anywhere from 6-8 charges from one kit. I'm wondering if us Rangers can collaborate and come up with a general pricing scheme for camo crates.

I made my first crate of Dantooine cammo kits, and have been selling them individually for 3k each (7 or 8 uses I think). They sell, but not very well.

Not worth it to sell for much less then that, particularly since the resources needed are very specific.

I make crates of them simply because its easier to carry one crate than a load of individual kits. I took some of the crates and put them on my Organic Resource and Scouting supply vendor and they have sold reasonably well.

As far as pricing, I just charge 5-10 credits per resource used in the manufacture, depending on how good the resource was/ how difficult it was to get.
