stockli stick: basicly a trap with an arosol rope that continualy wraps and hardens around the target, takes a little bit fot the cloud to dissapate
Personal Cloaking Pack: from JK:A, makes a cloaking sheild around a person, it is easily seen through by a good eye but in large scale combat it can go unnoticed, only works for a short time

Someone else mentioned the Stockli sticks awhile ago, sounds like the Goop trap we have in the wishlist. 
As for the Cloaking field, I understand why it was suggested here (because we have the /conceal skill), but our skill is related more to the Ghillie Suit concept than a technological item.
It is a good idea though, which does have precedent in continuity... I will add a note in the SotP about it.

Yes,such a technological device follows the "paramilitary" visionfor Ranger... Even if sucha vision does not fit the current implementation in this game (which is a creature profession).
As I said, I added the item to the SotP.

Althought the ghillie suit is the more common concept, this is star wars after all. We're supposed to be "great artificers in the realm of traps and minor machinery" or whatever the skillbox says. I could definately see a ranger in star wars using high tech field equipment.
