Thread: Question on Examine

Now that I recently achieved Master Ranger (8 months of casual gaming) I'm going to ask a couple of dumb questions.


1)When I examine creatures it shows a to hit section. I have no idea on what this number (0.XX) means.

2)The last item I can now see when I examine is damage. I assume this is the average damage I would take if attacked by the creature?

It's the basepercentage of how often an attack will hit you. A to-hit of 1 would mean that 100% of attacks hit.


2)The last item I can now see when I examine is damage. I assume this is the average damage I would take if attacked by the creature?


Yes, it is the base damage. However, special attacks often have multipliers to this damage, so you can actually take a lot more than the max shown in the /examine window. It's like weapons, where you have a damage ranger, but special attacks can do more damage.
