Thread: Camping XP and timing question

I know how much XP each camp gives, but I'm curious if anyone knows how long it takes to get that.
Here's the situation, I decided I'm probably not going to macro camp (unless I REALLY get sick of it). However, I will be usingmywilderness XP grindto clean my house and get any other RL errands done that I need to.
So my question is, assuming I'm alone sitting in camp doing nothing at all, how long does it take to get the maximum XP for a camp? I noticed with Improved camp kits it's around 14 minutes or so to hit 800 XP, but I'm a new Ranger. What's the minimum amount of time I need to sit in the Novice Ranger camp to get the 1000 XP they give? It would be nice to know, that way every (15? 20?) minutes I can come back to my screen, disband, and start over.
Does anyone know the exact times? For all camps?

I know for the scout tents, by yourself, it takes about 20 minutes to hit max xp. Usually cut that by 5 or 10 minutes with 1 or more visitors to your camp.You can make your survival xp by grinding out camps in practice mode, at the same time you sit in camp, and it will go at a factor of at least 4 times more though. Crafting camps and traps both grant survival xp, as does fishing, just get together a good lump of grinding leather and bone.

I'm not sure about all the times... but a half-hour was the time I used.
I found that if I was in a camp for 20 minutes it wouldn't get the max.
Also if you have a friend camping with ya, it cuts it down by at least half.

Sigh, was hoping I wouldn't have to log in my alt like I did for the Scout grind, but I guess I'll have to. Cutting down by half is just too tempting.

Heres the scoop, I did some experiments durring my grind to Master Ranger. If you are alone your camp will gain 35xp per minute up to the max xp of the camp you are using. If you have onevisitor in your camp you will get 70xp per minute. I did notice that if the visitor in my camp went afk the xp rate dropped because the camp would not max in the time calculated.
these numbers applied to all of the different camps that a ranger can make, which means the bigger camps take longer to max. I did not see a rate increase for more than one visitor but I did see a max xp increase, but it was fairly small only about 10 or 15xp per extra visitor.
