c'mon people! Fight for your galaxy...or, if you have read my post and found my mannerisms obnoxious, fight AGAINST your galaxy. Seriously, though, I'm looking to start a new Ranger character ASAP on a Live server, and I'm wondering which one has a lot of Antarian Rangers in it, as well as a healthy overall community (no psychos) and where I could be made to feel at home quickly. Then again with CC coming up, I could transfer my toon, but I'd actually like to try to be a non-human Ranger. Perhaps a Bothan. who knows....

anyway, hello again to all those people who've read my posts and stuff...it's good to be home in the Ranger forum and I hope to be seeing some of you actually in-game, which i haven't been able to do since not many of you play on TC.

Which Galaxy is best? Which is worst? please, no flame wars on this, I'm just looking for a good community, and if ya flame, I'll judge your entire galaxy by your actions...how many times have you heard THAT?!?!

peace, love and Rangering

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Valcyn is the galaxy you want to be in.

We havequite a fewrangers now working together as a non-guilded group to help protect and serve the Light Jedi community. We also have a very profitable hunting organization going as well as starting up a military unit to further aid the Jedi of our galaxy.

We communicate via an external e-mail list as well as through our password protected website - www.swgar.com Our site allows us to keep track of our orders and how much each ranger has contributed to an order as well as recording the resource stats which we keep up-to-date much better than www.swgcraft.com.

If you make it to Valcyn, give me a tell.

Kharr,

I've attempted to get involved with the Valcyn AR, but received no word back on my membership request. You know anything to help me out?

BTW, yeah I'll speak for Valcyn on general principle. Our prices are generally lower than what I hear from other galaxies, we're less crowded than some, and with our AR being non-guild, You can have your cake and /conceal it too.

I am on valcyn, and loving it. Just on Saturday (Feb 27) i became a CH and I need trapping 4 and survival 4 to master scout and become a ranger (I have the ap points and scouting points to become a master scout and novice ranger). I have heard about the Antarian Rangers. I want to join, but I am part of a guild already, it the Antarian Rangers a unofficial guild? If so, how do i join.

My opinion on the AR is that having a publicly known guild seems like it would be having a publicly known Jedi guild looking at the RP side, it really shouldn't happen (since they should have bounties just like the jedi)

If you go with the idea that Ranger is an RP profession (being problematic in systems) then I would recommend Kettemoor. Personal bias of course. But Kettemoor seems to have rather high accolades for RP in the boards, and most of the Rangers I have met that aren't doing the Ranger-for-a-day holo thing
are pretty good folk.

Now I don't know of any formal guilds or organizations other than my own as far as Rangers go, but Endor Search and Rescue is a pretty good group and I enjoy the company. I tend to do the loner thing, but others are very happy with the level of socialization from what I hear.

Besides, a new performance of Death of a Jedi is starting up soon, and that is definately worth a watch.

Daracca,

I don't recall hearing your name but will be happy to talk to you about the group. I've recorded your name in my communicator and will contact you soon.

Koa,

We are not a guild and do not require anyone to live in any particular city (or any city at all). Some of us are members of other guilds and some prefer not to belong to a guild. We are also taking on scouts so if you are interested, you need not wait until you become a Ranger.

In addition to scouts/rangers, we are also starting to take on skilled fighters and medics to form a military unit to begin to take a more proactive stance in this war. With the Imperial crack-down and the growing number of people learning the ways of the force and being drawn to the dark side, we must actively fight back.

Please feel to contact me in game if you are interested in helping.

Hi people--I'm back. I haven't been online or playing or doing much of anything except college and sports, so I haven't been around for all the new publishes and such? First and foremost, I'd like to know what I missed (if anything). And secondly, I'd like to thank the guys who're working at Sony. They fixed my computer. Well, not really, but the new publish made the game work with my proccessor ( I use a laptop) and now, I can finally log into the Live servers. I've been running on TC since I bought the game, and though I have no regrets or complaints, it is nice to have an option.

Only problem now is: where do I go from here?? I'm looking for a galaxy with a strong Antarian Ranger community who'll help me make the switch. For those of you who check, I'm still intrested in forming an Antarian Rangers guild on TC, but right now, I'd like to see live. Now, tell me why YOUR galaxy rocks and the others are awful...fight! fight! fight!!!!!

I nod towards Kettemoor myself...

Besides the Endor S&R group...who I might add is pretty organized, there are rumors of an underground group of rangers (wink-wink) who seem like they might be involved with Antarian Rangers. These fine fellows are not really affiliated with a particular guild...but I can attest that they have a great handle on being a honorable group of rangers and they are growing everyday.

Well Im of course biassed, but Bria. We don't have an antarian ranger group, but we have RoB, Rangers of Bria. If you go to the Bria forum and look up posts we have there for Rangers of Bria, posted by me, you will read more info on us. We are nothing like AR, but we do what rangers do best, hunt and harvest, have fun and makes lots of money.

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

I'm biased and partial to Starsider as it's my home. There's a small Ranger community here, but on the whole you do seem to get respect from the gaming community. I'd like to see more coordination within the Ranger community, whether it is in a PA or a loose affiliation in the form of Antarian Rangers or my organisation of choice the Sector Rangers.
