I amtrue outdoorsman... in spirit.

I amfat and poorly conditioned, choosing to ridea speeders even short distances rather than hiking.I roar through the wilderness inmy metalic monstrositiy, calling attention tomyself at every turn withmy brightly colored speeder. Creatures hear me coming from a mile away and lay in wait. That's ok, if I come upon one I'll simply run him over.

But Isuffer from acute nearsightedness and am hard of hearing. I search for creatures to hunt, but fail to see the huge herds of pickets and bols that tower above me and shake the earth as they walk. No matter, I am bound to run into some good animals sooner or later with my speeder. But I see nothing.

I finally dismount, hoping to use my training as an animal tracker. As I walk down the path, I search for tracks, but see nothing. Maybe the tracksare just getting concealed by the cloud of dust I'm kicking up? Nah, that couldn't be it, there must be tracks somewhere around here.

I run across a scout on the path, his pack is full of hide. He must have recently done some killing. I ask if he's seen any wild game. He laughs and walks past. Don't know what he's laughing at.

I quickly grow tired, and feel the need to get food and rest in a camp. I hastily throw together a very poorly constructed camp. In fact, I need to hold the poles up myself. That's ok... but I hope it doesn't rain. I see a stream. Fish! It is teaming with fish! My stomach rumbles. I let go of the pole, the tent collapses, but no matter, I can put that back together again later. I stumble as I reach the stream, going head over heals into the water with a loud splash chasing most of the fish away. Damn, I'm never going to catch any fish now, this always seems to happen to me. And sure enough, an hour later I only manage to catch enough fish for a small snack. I wonder if perhaps I could dig roots or something out of the ground to eat. I think back to my training. Yes! this is possible. I dig and dig and dig, nothing. Not a darn thing. Wait... something about my pack. Ah yes, my teacher taught me that one cannot dig with a full pack. But I still see some space in there. Hmm, oh well, no matter, I'll have to just unload some of those huge crates of food that I always carry with me.

I go back and rebuild the camp, such as it is. Poorly built, but containing all the comforts of home... and then some. I spend hours unloading the generators from my bike, and hooking up all kinds of gizmos and fancy electronic equipment. My camp is bathed in a bright glow from the equipment, and emits a loud hum. Just the way I like it, as I am afraid of the dark. But creatures see and hear it too, I hope nothing out here is hungry...

I dose off to sleep, but am soon awakened by a loud hiss. a big lizard! a lizard has come into my camp, no doubt attracted by the bright lights! I look down and notice it has already taken a bite out of my leg. Ow! I grab my rifle, but drop it. I pick it up, but fumble with it as the lizard gnaws some more on my leg. I fire, point blank, but miss. Damn! this is hopeless! I've never been much good with guns. I'd better just get out of here! Fortunately I notice that I had carelessly left my bike in the camp with its motor running. Cool! My laziness has paid off for once! Now I just need to reach it.I reach for one of my special ranger traps,I fumble through my pack, grab one, and throw it."Die you miserable worm!" I shout. It emits a loud noise and smoke starts billowing from the now empty cannister. The lizard seems to be completely unimpressed by the smoke and sound and focuses back on my leg, but now suddenly I can see other lizards coming at me, from all sides now. My leg is going numb...
