NOTE TO RANGERS: This does apply to you a little bit of the way down. Take a look.

OH, and this currently is only happening on Bria, but I plan to spread out later.

Well, quite frankly I've been bored with SWG lately, so I figured I'd try and start up a little business. If used correctly, it could really add some fun to the game, I think. It would influence the GCW along with just personal experiences.

First off, I want to clear something up.

I am not trying to start a PA or guild in game. You would have no commitments such as meetings or guild responsibilities if you were to become a 'member' of this little organization I'm putting together. All I would have is your character's name and your e-mail address, and then all you have to do is kill people and get paid, or if you're a ranger, track people and get paid. OR, hire someone to kill someone and pay them.

That's right. I'm just trying to traffic any requests for player bounties. Factional targets? Leaders of opposing guilds? Whatever you want.

As a 'bounty hunter' for this association you will have given your e-mail address to me. When someone comes to me with a mission, I will e-mail you with mission details, and once the mission is completed (or failed) you will be paid (or not!). You would require NO ACTUAL BOUNTY HUNTING SKILLS to work as a bounty hunter for this association. The difficulty of your missions will depend on what combat skills you do have. Anyone who applies as a hunter will be accepted and, as long as people supply us with missions you'll be working quickly.

Rangers! Come one come all. As a ranger you can sign up as a tracker, and when a bounty hunter gets his mission he can request tracker assistance, in which case you will get 15% of the overall payout.

Of course the most important thing is the customer. We need people to give us missions to do! Rebels, Imperials, it's a time of war in the game and we're depending on you to hire us to dispatch your adversaries.

So, if any of this intrigues you, whether you want to be a hunter, tracker or client, pleasego to our new (sloppily made) website,

where you can join us or hire us!

Thank you,

There's a similar system in place on Valcyn, but I don't think there is any particular organization which does it. Essentially though, people volunteer to be bounties, which is your main sticking point.. As PvP is by consent only, the bounty would have to be overt or TEF'd when an overt, opposite faction bounty hunter found them, or consent to a duel. The former might be considered griefing unless the bounty consented, and the latter is impossible without the bounty's consent.

Just some things to consider.

Believe me, I have considered it. It's a difficult problem, but as I just posted on the Bounty Hunter forums I used to get hired by a now-dead guild to do player bounties. It was a requirement to keep at least 200 FP for both the Empire and the Rebellion in order to be employed by them, and I took down Imperial and Rebel marks, along with neutral. The neutral were the most difficult, but there are ways to get them to fight you that don't involve simply cursing them out.

But sure, there were times where I could not get them to fight me, and that's why I hopethat our primary clients in this organization will be factional, and the primary acquisitions will be factional. But we can still work with neutral marks.

Oh, and thanks to the Rangers who signed up. You'll be receiving your acceptance e-mails soon. Other Bria Rangers, please take a look at the site.
