Thread: Where on lok to search for kimos?? Suggestions

I ran into a group of 3 of them one day. I had no chance against them,didn't know they were even worth finding. So I just kept away and ignored them. I tell you, 50K credits being offered to me from one guy made me really wish I had at least made a waypoint for those kimos.

Well me and a Ranger friendhave ben trying to find wild kimos for some time now, and weve had barely any success, after many tries on diferent occasionswe were able to stumble upon a dune kimo and an enraged one, but besides that we have not been able to find anymore. So im wondering as to where are the best places to track on lok, for these guys. Ive heard the volcanoe and near the imp base are good places to start, but nothing yet outa there.

Kimotown is about the most reliable place. Beware of that NPC that sometimes spawns there, you will eed an army to kill him.

The one at kimo town is just annoying and a fake since its always camped and exploited i want a reall wild one and i dont consider that one wild, i think last time i saw some moron novice carbineer fighting the GK, got it stuck behind a wall, the most painful thing ive ever seen as he was using a heat weapon vs it and it has 100% vs heat, my god did he just get 5 dmg on it.... then a dark jedi came and attacked it but thats a whole nother story

well if you folow the river thats outside nyms city you should run into at least a pair off the river banks, if your a good tracker you sholdnt have a prob if ech runs along the opposite banks.

i found some around teh summit ad foot of teh big volcanoe..never in between though...

On my one trip to the Volcano I ran into 2 separate spawns of them (within 1k of the volcano).

i was near TERRA NOVA, bout 1K northish of NYMS, and was hunting perleks, and ran into a spawn of, 1 Great Kimo, and 2 Kimos, and i had just mastered, pikeman, so i decided to try out on them. i got 1 of them to agro me, and spent about 10 minutes hacking away at it, until it was dead (got okay armor, so only had to heal myself once) and after killing it, did a bit of hunting, and came back to same spot again, and 1 of the kimos was still there (i saw the great kimo chasing a poor marksman while i was fightint the first kimo) anyways, me and 1 other guy took down the second kimo.
i have been checking back in that same spot at least once every second day, and have not seen them respawn. but if you all wanny check it tou, it was in the more or less open plain 300 meters southeast of TERRA NOVA

There are always spawns of them around the volcano you just have to go all the way around both the base and midway up the mountain. Also, w/ Kimotown, there are some in there but do a search about 1km around the town, it's pretty reliable that you'll find a nest or two.
Anyways, I've never gone to the volcano and not found kimo lairs.

I generally start tracking about 2000m east of kimotown and always find a spawn. There's also two rivers to the east, follow the second one north, that seems to be a hotspot for them, at least from my findings...now if I could just find peko peko albatross as easily as other people find them...
