I am a bit confused I play on a few different servers and on oen server i am a Master Ranger working rifleman... heh i spent more time camping and trappin gthan actualy killing... i am also a Trandoshan, I actualy started with TKM working toward Ranger but have since decided that rifle will give me more combat ability than tkm coupled with ranger... so i have 110 harvesting skill.. if i get a harvest droid... does that add to my harvesting skill or does it harvest instead of me? I am slightly confused here i have seen non scouts using the droids to harvest... but i have seen the droids refered too as harvest bonuses... if they are a bonus then WOOOHOO i am in harvesting heavin with a possible 210 harvest skill maybe more...

Non-scouts can not use them. The max bonus from a harvesting droid is supposedly 120%. This is of your harvesting ability (though this is in question as there may be a sliding scale. But we have no confirmation on it. And it doesnt make sense anyway). So if you have +100 harvesting ability and a droid thats +110 it gives you a 10% bonus over your 100 making it 110.

Everything I've been told is that the droids harvesting "skill" works instead of your own harvesting skill. So far, I'm a 4243 ranger and have harvestingskill of +90, I have a harvesting droid that is +96 and it harvets more than I do. Now if the droid was only harvesting 96% of what I can, then obviously it would be harvesting less than me. So I believe the droid harvestingskill is instead of you, not in addition to you.
Also, how on earth do you have a harvesting skill of 110? From looking at the skill tree details, I thought when you reach master your harvesting skill hits +100.

The 96 bonus rating on your droid ADDS to your skill but not 96% above your skill. The bonus rating gives you a base percentage up to 20% more than your skill, not 120% . So if you had a harvesting droid maxed out you would earn 20% over YOUR harvest rating. Since they max out at like 120 rating, a 96 rated droid would be just over 10% maybe? I'f you alone collected meat off a bolle at 100 units, compared to using a droid, the droid may net you 110 units. 120% would be over 200 units and thats a misinterprutation of how it works.
