Calc,
When, and more importantly why?, did we become the flavor of the month? Really there cant be to many of us. But it seems like we have a lot of rangers now that were'nt there before. Is it because of the high prices of meat? But SWG can never have to many Rangers. We welcome them all.
I really can't speculate why there seems to be an increase, but I have noticed that we have a cyclical pattern going on here. Every few months, there seems to be an influx of Rangers. On a similar, but offset cycle, there is a die-off. I think while we are growing overall, it is a very slow growth process. And yes, we welcome them all...mostly

I would say TKA, Swordman or Rifleman.
On the why is there more ranger subject, well, on my server avian meat and wooly hide can go to 200 CPU straight, offered to a vendor.
I'm not a ranger yet, but one of my friend is, he can make millions in a week.

Mando armor? na, not quite enough...
200+ cpu auctions? Maybe...
Jedi trials and /areatrack? More likely but this does not explain the desire for Master
My assertion that we are the rarest masterd profession and are more like Jedi then ub3r d00d? Distant hope...

200 CPU isn't auction.
It's basis offered price for some doc/AS.
I've seen avian meat auction at more than 500 CPU.
On the rarest Mastered profession, not sure SL is tough to beat.
But weirdly, lately I've noticed also an increase in the SL population.
My guess is that most of the PvPer are getting that much tired to the lack of interest in PvP that they are now more focused on other parts of the game. PvE with ranger and Dungeon with SL.

I hear Swordsmen can solo just about anything. Other than that, I will say that rifleman is on of the more uber profession right night, and lends a certain RP ambience to Ranger.

Yay Zapahda!!! Welcome to the Fellowship!!
Send me a tell if you ever want to go hunting again. Sowi/Gide is currently focused on the dreaded Black Sun, but we all kick around on Endor from time to time and hunt for the Gorax (and anything else that wanders across our path).
Look forward to seeing you with the Ranger tag!

SL is becoming more popular as people find out how useful it really can be. Both in PvP and PvE, a SL really makes quite a difference. The main "drawback" to SL is that it is really only useful in a group (and is somewhat limited to high end content because of that). Yes, the skill set needs work but I benefit a lot more from my SL skills than my Ranger skills now. I can see why people might be picking up SL. I don't really understand Ranger. But I do agree with the decision.
