Hi all,

I would love to grind the rest of my Ranger tree and proudly sport my title Master Ranger, however I cannot bring myself to give up certain aspects of my template.

What I would like to know from you Master Rangers is how hard life is without certain abilities and whether they are compensated for by being full Ranger.

My current template is as follows

Novice Ranger 3040 (Obviously Master Scout as well)

Master Swordsman

Novice TK 4000

Novice Medic

Ok, so here's the questions

1) TK gives me the ability to get rid of poison and disease. This is wonderfull, especially when your running around the more dangerous planets etc. I could live without Powerboost, Force of will etc, so my first q'sy is will the high level camps get rid of disease and poisons?

2) Is Novice Medic reallly necessary vs having some pets....The most popular Ranger template I see is;

Master Ranger

Master Rifleman

Novice CH 0003

No I assume this gives u the chance to send in the cats to tank whilst you hammer the prey from ranged distance and I also appreciate the synergy of Ranger's camo with sniper abilities. But this is a more Pve' related question, how does Rifleman stack up against the carnage a Scythe does to animals? and do u Rifleman ever heal yourselfs that often on the fly?

Hopes....:

If the answer to question one is yes, then I will go Master Ranger - the other is really an info request....

High level camps do not cure poisons or disease. They merey heal wounds faster than the smaller ones. I am TKM with Ranger 0-0-4-0 which is what I find most useful. I mastered Ranger awhile back and found that only the tracking line was of use to me. TK meditate is oh so useful considering that Rangers have zero resists to poisons or diseases.

I used to be a Rifleman which is good since distance isa great friend to a Ranger who has a minimal creature to hit bonus and no defenses.

For me TKM and Ranger 0-0-4-0 Ranger is great for me. I can dabble in some other lines where I am playing with smuggler, novice medic and some creature handler. I would dropTKM til you finish Ranger. Get the tag and badge then drop the trapping, camping, and camo line. Go back up the TKM meditate line. You can survive long enough without the meditate function.
