we can track any creature. THe only stipulation is that is has to be within a certain radius of us. At master Ranger, we can get a direction and distance to any creature within 500m of our location.

It's not a waypoint or a floating yellow line, it's just a distance and direction. For example: If we tracked critters, we'd get a screen like this:

Krayt Dragon: SE: 200m

Greater Canyon Krayt: S 487m

Dragonet: S 5m

...

...

et cetera, et cetera.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

GDKs are elusive. ive had more luck finding them just driving around randomly than tracking. the person who told you that probally hired a ranger to find him one and had no luck.

if a ranger scout around and never finds sonething its purpley because it aint there...not because its undetectable...

im not flaming just talkin in general but i hate it when certain ppl get all moody with me when i cant find stuff for them if it aint there i cant track it simple as that!

I'd like to add that even if the creature you're looking for is already there, and within 500m, you may not always see it on the tracking list. I've had many people find a group of Rancors 100m from me that don't show up on an otherwise empty (or very short) track list.
