Thread: old man?

Greetings and salutations, all. I wish to relate a tale of an odd event, in the hopes that some of you can shed some light on what's going on. I know that this may not be the correct board for this question, but I've always told people that if you want to know something, whatever the topic, ask a ranger. They know stuff.
Anyway, today while I was wandering around on Dantooine, near my house, I decided to pick up a mission at the nearby town, for no other reason than the person that I was supposed to meet wasn't going to be able to meet me today. After I closed out the mission browser window, "an old man" came up to me and told me that he had "an important matter to discuss with me".
"New content", thought I. Neato. Anyway, he asked if I had ever considered the possibility that I was connected to the Force. I think I said "yes", but my machine is laggy, and sometimes I can't be sure exactly what I said in a conversation. Anyway, he gave me a strange looking force crystal and told me to keep it safe.
When I open the thing up, it says it's a quest journal, and there's one completed quest in there, that I should talk to the old man and find out what he wanted me for. But he left after giving me the crystal.
Well, that's all I can think of right now. Has anyone else had this happen to them? If I'm just supposed to figure things out and you know and jost don't want to tell me, then that's cool too. I'm not looking for spoilers or easy roads or afk macros or anything. I'm just curious about the event.
As I said before, rangers know stuff, but I just got back to the game after a month or so off, and I don't quite know what's up. Thanks in advancefor your assistance.

Either this is a joke or you havent read the rest of the forums. If you have read the rest of the forums and truly trust us. Let me say welcome.
Simply put you will be getting attacked by 2 sith in the next couple of days. If you defeat them you will get a datapad to go to Aurelia Village to get your force skills. Thats it from there look for the other guides.

No joke, I just haven't read the rest of the forums. (/smack self) This has always beenmy favorite community, and in my haste, I just followed my natural inclination and asked you all first.
Thanks Fodder for the heads up. I'll do a little recon on the other boards.

OH man im so sorrry. See i was there too and thought the old man was harassing you and i shot him. Oh well No glow stick for you.

No no its ok your allowed to ask. We can be a little weird..odd...not normal on our forums sometimes. And you never know when a post like this will sneak up. So if you truly dont know. Expect an attack in the next day or so from two sith jedi. Stay buffed and eat your spinach. When you kill them, if you kill them, you get a datapad to dathomir. And your journey begins.
Never be afriad to ask questions. Just remember we are sometimes suprised that not everyone lives on the forums (notes total forum time 39634)

I just got back from sneaking around the jedi forums. Hehe. Um, yeah. I seriously didn't know it was such a big thing adn that there was so much info on the subject already out there. I think it's a bug in my /areatrack...
I'm glad y'all are nice 'round here.
