Ranger Archive

I was just wondering how many of you have done tracking for BH's. I just filled that 3rd rowso Im 3-2-4-4 now and a friend was telling me that BH's will pay good money for a Ranger to track someone for them. Just something different for me to do. If any of you have done this what is a good amount to charge? Thank you in advance!

I have never tracked for a BH, but I have been paid to track. I never got paid that much, the most was 100k per hour regardless of results. That wastracking for a Jedi doing his trials.The worst was 100k to successfully find the pirate on Tat, which after 1.5 hours we still hadn't, but I was bored anyway so it was nice to be able to help someone out, and the guy tipped me 10k and recomended me to his guild and a recomendation is worth far more than simple credits.

If I am in the driving seat i.e. I get to say how much I want then I ask 100k an hour regardless of results.

Rangers helping BH's hunt people down? hmmm. Well I guess you can do that, but usually it is not the kind of mind set Rangers have. But I have set up and used /areatrack to watch Jedi friends back and tell them when BHs or other potential players are coming up on them. Other Jedi have paid pretty well to get this early warning system. One of my toons is a Ranger and MCH, and I bring out enough pet power and then have them befriend the Jedi so if they are attacked they can assist the Jedi in responding. Why because BHs are the only ones that can kill people of the same faction as long as they get a bounty on you, and if you are of the same faction as them you can't help. It is a pretty dirty trick so several of us have used our pets and bots in this fashion to guard and respond to the Jedi who is needing the help. You should see the surprised look on their face when their easy kill turns into a nightmare. Lol

i used to be a Ranger. i currently am a BH. with the use of probe and seeker droids, i honestly can't see why any BH would need help tracking down a target. seekers can be slow if you don't have good SEAs, but they are extremely accurate. i've never had a problem finding my mark using them.

but if a BH is willing to pay you to track a jedi, i say go for it. if the BH is too dumb to use the tools he's given, then by all means, take his money, as he doesn't deserve to have the title of Bounty Hunter.

Oreet, you're a rare case. You have an IQ over 50 and are a BH.

Most BHs don't have the common sense to use the droids (or understand how they work)and would rather get someone to do their work for them. No, I am not taking their money either, marks are a pain to find.

I said most, not all. Remember that when my guildie attempts to gank me.
