I came into the CU with much the same apprehension and doubt as everyone else. After hearing all the horror stories and testing on my own, I fully expected to walk out to be butchered by huurtons.

Instead, I discovered that I can solo a giant canyon krayt unarmored and unbuffed at point blank range with a T-21. No strategy. No tactical advantange. No help. I just hit him in the head and kept doing so until he lay very still. It took less than a minute, I think. That is just plain nonsense.

A fluke, thought I. Not so. I tested again and again. Juveniles were laugable. Canyon krayts were easy. But killing the giants without breaking a sweat just horrified me. What happened to the challenge? Is this the shape of things to come? This is wholly unacceptable.

Good thing, I guess, since I have been unable to apply camouflage to myself or others in 8 hours of testing on all the planets.

I'm still a Ranger, though; Master Ranger and Master Rifleman from back when we had to camp for survival XP. Heh, heh, heh...

I guess I'll give the Gorax a try next. I hope it slaps me around like a rag doll. I really hope that we are simply engaging in beta testing while the devs work out the bugs. I really, really hope this is the case.
