Well, some pattern:

- pre order digital download and receive the fastest mount in game

- get jtl for free

Now also double XP week for veterans (wether or not you buy RoTW) if you be around for May 2nd to May 9th.

And... to increase sales of RoTW, they're going to add 3 more SHIPlots in datapad as a bonus for the pre-order...

Read about it!

I'm not going to draw any conclusions, but it believes me to think... I think the cancellation of acounts and pre-orders decided they needed to do such a thing...

Well considering that the servers were out for so long the xp gain is totally expected. As for the new ships? They have wanted to increase to amount for a while but still maintain a system where you have to choose what type of fleet you have. With Rotw you can get a few more ships such as the grievous starfighter and the mining ship so it only makes sense that you need more slots and it was the perfect opportunity to increase the limit.

Increased storage was needed thanks to the rewards in rotw and it also gave the marketing machine something to add value to the expansion product, it didnt realy suprise me.

Aslong as the bonuses and benefits keep coming ill be happy hehe.

As for opinions on the CU now, ive found that almost all my friends love the changes even though there are still large issues to address. Im on Eclipse now in my new template for today going over my things and generally doing the things i normally do but now with the added benefit that ive just been out on a great little hunt with friends and plan to do so again on a larger scale later tonight without having to spend hour and hour getting buffed and relying on other things to be effective.

Overall i hate what the cu has done to rangers, i think we have the optimism to stick it through until our revamp but things are in a bad way. However, i love what the CU has started to do to the game environment, once the adventure planets and dungeons get balanced and we get a good run of updates and ajustments it could be well on the way to making a very exciting combat system. At present im having fun and much more than i was a few days ago.

Hehe. I hope you made alright xp??? I've not logged in yet, nor am I planning too. Not until the BE pet thing is fixed.

So far seen and heard and experienced on a TC-ep3 myself, is that if fight something lower then myself, i get 1 (yes, ONE) whopping xp. Twice 1 = 2!!! That makes a real of a lot of difference.

If I kill something on CL82 (2 levels above me) I must be carefull not to get incapped and get a whopping 5k xp! Twice it makes 10k! That's more worth it. Even tough I get incapped at least ones, need to wait about 10 minutes to be fully healed (stims also 1m cool down), I'm not quite sure what is yet more effective to fight.

Unless you group...

Yes, grouping is needed, but why only for those why pre-order. It's just marketing and getting-money-from-those-people attitude. Too bad for them, I won't sign up. Did it for JTL once and got burned.

Ah.. so bribing you is the key

I've got mixed feelings. Some things are good, some are bad... First I want to make sure conversion works as intended (it seems there are still bugs to account for)... What unclear is if that BE pets respec will take place the moment you login or that it has already been done.

Yes, but if you stroll around, a lot more professions are not very well done. The point I think you want to make is that the Ranger and Scout got saddled up with 2 big additional bugs not present in pre-cu (/conceal and /maskscent).

I still believe that this CU was pushed to live WAY too early.

The BE pet conversion only happens when you try and call a pet - nothing has been done as part of the "upgrade" rollout. Since I knew I'd not be taking on any CH soon, and really like wandering around with Jinx at my side, I went ahead and called her today. She was a Lvl 10 BE RazorCat wtih roughly 10k health, 7k action and 3k mind (or thereabout) plus some good resists and specials. When I tried to call her, I got a message saying that her stats didn't fit in the current system now (or something along those lines) with options to keep the stats and adjust the creature level, or keep the creature level and adjust the stats to fit the level. Since I have no CH skills, I opted to keep her as lvl 10 so I can have her with me in the field, and converted.

I ended up with a lvl 10 RazorCat with around 1700ish HAM, 0 kinetic resists (actually 0 resists all over), 2 special attacks, most other things the same. She might be viable as a very brief meat shield to divert something coming after me, but sadly I'm guessing she's going to be more companion than fightin' partner as she's been in the past. From all I've heard so far from a few BEs in game, if you do the "keep the stats and fix the level", most BE pets are going to become unusable - with higher level BE pets that CH's have going into the CL 130-150 range or thereabout. If I was actually a CH that relied on my pets or had largely BE'd pets, I'd DEFINITELY want to wait a bit and see what (if?) the devs are going to fix BE pet crafting and BE pet conversion since the way it works now, 1 of the 2 options they offer pretty much makes pets unusable, and the other option makes the pet pretty worthless for combat I'm guessing for most people. I'll probably have to invest in some batteries again and dust off my combat droid to see how Sparky does in the new system...
