Ranger Archive

Fellow Rangers,

Some of you may not know me. I didn't post a lot, I was more of a lurker. However, I must let all of you know this. When the servers come back up tomorrow, I shall be respec'ing into Smuggler (the profession I originally wanted to be). Along with Smuggler, I will have either master Pistoleer or master Carbineer. I will also have either Scout 4040 or 4030, depending on pistols or carbines.

I have truly enjoyed my time as a Ranger. You might say that I became a Ranger by accident, since I picked up Scout only for the TN. But, I fell in love with it and decided to go Ranger. However, I feel that now is the time for me to depart.

I will still lurk in this forum, just like always, and I will still occasionally post. It has been a complete honor to be a part of this community and to call all of you brothers (and sisters).

Och Ben man, sorry to see you go, but "know yourself you must".

It's been said here a lot of times, but Ranger is more a state of mind than just a couple of badges and a tent. Besides, you'll be back

I know the feeling,

I left ranger to try to engage in other, more combat related pursuits as well. It really saddens me that effectiveness as a hunter usually does not include being a ranger.

You are always welcome here, and keep in touch mate.

Ranger is not a profession, its a state of mind, and in my mind, you will always be a hunter.

You know the odd thing is, I did the exact same thing. But I have so many characters that i play that one of them is actually going smuggler as well. Septic Tank of Ahazi will finally be back to where he was originally intended to be. The rodian scumbag smuggler/pistoleer with a bit of rifleman. Should be fun as I miss that profession and am looking forward to playing it again.

OK, I'm showing my ignorance here, but Fred has been spouting off for ages about the RATWGINNUKTHXBYEBBQ, and I didn't ask him about it when I first saw it, and ever since then it's just become this embarassing thing, like running into someone you used to know at a party and having a whole conversation with themwhile being completely unable to remember their name or where you knew them from...

Anyway, can someone please enlighten me as to what the heck that means? :embarrassed:
