Thread: Frontiering II Field Base Materials Wrong?
Okay...I'm sorry, but my memory seems to be failing me.
I know that this camp does not repel aggressives, but what else is wrong with it?
Does it not heal wounds, or was that high tech?
Also, does it not disband?

The only thing I have found wrong with this camp is the 2 chairs behind the tents cause you to be "outside" the camp, which is sort of annoying but nothing major. Also, this camp will disband in combat or after leaving it for a time.
Awesome.
And no, the high quality camp does NOT repel aggressive creatures. Can be sitting in there, and they come and attack me. I know they should wander through, but the attacking thing is a no-no!

Well, improved camp (survival IV on scouting tree) DOES protect against aggressive creatures. They'll wander through the camp, and even had some cannibal dewbacks spawn on me, but they don't attack.
If I'm in a high quality camp, they'll aggro as normal, as if the camp wasn't there.
So, from what I hear, field base is the same...oh, well.

Are you using /maskscent? I always have maskscent active when in camp and have camped close to Dire Cat Lairs and although none of them come closer then 50 meters to me I have not been attacked or even noticed. I am usually Kneeling and surveying.
I have seen other people further away from the cats then me get attacked. He was not in a camp and was not using maskscent but he was surveying.
I wont try this with out mask scent cause thopse cats are fast! But am thinking maybe the repel of the camp also needs a little help with your maskscent skill active. Although that may not be true since not everyone has maskscent and that really wouldnt be cool if your buddy gets attacked while in your camp while you get ignored.
Are the material requirements for this base bugged? It seems strange that the camp requires only metal and chemical, not hide. There is a lot of canvas in this camp, and was wondering if the 2 separate metal requirements, one of them was supposed to be hide?
