Thread: Final Camp Bug
There is a bug with the final camp which kind of scares me. Let me explain.
As some have already pointed out the healing timer on the final camp is broken. After it heals wounds once (somewhere between 3 - 4 minutes) it doesn't heal wounds again.
Well I did some experimentation today and confirmed that if you wait for this timer to go off then the camp will not go away during combat.
If however you do engage in combat before this time the camp will be abandoned due to combat.
This would suggest to me that as soon as they fix the healing timer the final camp will become once again just a nice piece of land. Since there is only a .05 difference between it and the Frontier II camp I will probably surrender those 5 points for something else.
I have been using the field camps regularly on dath and endor as a safeplace the group fights from. We pull the enemies into the field camp and fight them there. If people die they know the way back and can get there quickly. It's been a lot of fun to use the field base as just that, a BASE.
One thing though. If they do make it so field bases stay up even if you are in combat they DO need to add the system where they automatically abandon if you are more than 1k away from them. From experience it sucks to die 4k from your camp and have to run back and disband it just so you can make camps again.
Just a FYI to those of you reading and thinking that 140,000 survival exp will guarantee you a permanent field base. As far as I can tell the nerf bat will hit it the same time it fixes the healing problems associated with it.
Always pick up the control unit of the camp after you make it. That way you can disband the camp from afar if needed. I like the fact that the final camp doesn't disband when abandoned.

I've picked up my control panel on an Imroved Camp, and was able to disband it from inside, but has anyone actually tested disbanding a camp from several km away? This is a great feature, IF you remember to pick up the pad.
You can set a waypoint to your location after you die. It is not necessary to do it before you die.
I hope I did not alert anyone to a bug as I like this feature.
