I've been playing a wookie one of the brand new servers, Tempest, and most recently have been planing on BH. I'm most of the way through both scout and marksman, level 3 on most skills. I've been doubting if I'd even enjoy bounty hunter, and ranger was my inital plan, so I'm back here again.

So was first question is, should Igo with rifles or pistols? Rifles seem to fit in better, and I could someday get a bowcaster (are they very competitve for a rifle?). RIght now I'm equally far along in all 3 weapons in marksman, so I'm not locked into one more than another.

As for my long term plan, I'm thinking either master CH and the rest into rifle (or pistol), or master rifle and very little CH. Wookies do get a +10 taming bonus, so there's a minor reason to go into CH. I assume if I just take novice I'd want to buy a creature from someone else and then just have basic control of it. Or I could balance it out more with master ranger, then an equal amount into both CH and rifleman/pistoleer, but I think I'd rather master one and novice the other.

So right now I'm leaning slightly towards master ranger, master CH, and novice rifleman with expert at one of the skills (which one would be best?). Any thoughts on this?

I've had Master Pistoleer (Was one of the first on BF, I think) and am working on Master Rifleman.. and in all honesty, Pistoleer is a lot easier to use and a lot faster to level with(And easier, again =P) Rifles can cause a lot of frustration if you have a string of bad luck.

Dukehondo says it all in his post.

Its really a matter of style, Do you like potential huge hits with a lot of time for setup and strategy. Or do you like steady damage with somewhat foolproof hack-and-slash gameplay? Go pistol for the quick and efficient or rifle for the complex and powerful.

Yea, Cadius's wording nails it.

Look at it this way.. Rifles are support. Pistols are cannon fodder.

Do you want to be the sniper-type or the guns blazing Rambo type?
