Has anyone managed to locate the altruism and intellect spawns with areatrack? I'm thinking of giving it a try.

I believe they've been broken since Pub 6.

I think he means the badge you get from doing the badge of intellect or the badge of altruism. He wants to know if you can find them by tracking them.

I wouldn't know cause I'm not a ranger.

At one point it was.

I logged in and did area track. I saw a bounty hunter and some smugglers! Five seconds after running up, the people there answered the final question...

Of course there is now a city sitting over our Intellect site, so even if they are working it won't ever spawn.

They have, TH has posted taht he's going to try to get them fixed in the next publish.

Hi - if the spawns are indeed working (and there is some question that they are), then areatrack should give you an advantage in finding them - the npcs should appear on area track just like a krayt dragon will, etc.... The problem is that areatrack will only find things that have spawned, so if the camp has not spawned, then areatrack won't really help. But if the camp has spawned, then areatrack might make the difference between finding it and passing 200m away from it and not finding it.

Azucar, that is the problem. The badge spawns are random. They have pre-defined areas they are likely to occur in and there are set NPCs once they do spawn. Other than that, you have to track them down, which is why /areatrack can be useful.

Do a search for Hermit Quest, Heroism Badges, Intellect Badge or Altruism Badge on the Jedi boards for more information.

Thereused to bewrite-ups of them at http://www.towpc.com/swg, but he has taken them down. Do an advanced forums search for "Mark of Intellect" or "Altruism" and you will find tons of posts detailing where you are most likely to find these spawns...

Best bet is to try the game guides forum. THere's a huge post there detailing the problems with them. TH and other devs have replied to it in fact.
