I was doing the Rebel Theme park to get the last badge for glowy goodness and decided to 'ranger' it. No buff or armour, only killing what I have to and avoiding direct combat whenever at all possible. (Not that buffs or armour are really necessary for these parks, but hey ho).
OK, the fetch and carry missions, apart from avoiding red MoBs, not a lot of rangerliness there. Mask scent did help whenever the local wildlife got a bit interested and I spent most of the time on Dant with camo on as I seem to be awfully attractive to huurton and quenker.
Being able to go sit in a graul nest while a couple of roving Imp players were looking for me was fun tho. For some reason they wouldn't come close enough to attack me, worried that the graul would attack them first.
The kill missions, the tef from which was the reason I was sat in the grauls nest, again were a cakewalk. Camo up, get to range for my rifle and conceal shot the mark till he goes over. Nice. I know the themepark npc's are supposed to react to camo differently from 'wild' ones, but it did seem to be a help.
OK, and finally the 'Think Ranger' part.
One of the last missions was a simple escort one, except the mark was inside a tree. A quick scout around showed two other spawns of the same character, also in trees or rocks. ( /bugrep'd that anyway) Didn't want to hang around too long as a) I was nearly finished the park and b) there were herds of poisonous beasties around looking for me.
I tried the usual /target and /conv to no avail. I'll pop a tent thinks me. Horror of horrors, no resources. I'd cleared my pack earlier in the day to make room for loot. Quick /ar showed a family of mamien nearby. Usually I try to leave the sentient species alone, just 'one of those things' but, this time, for the greater good and all that, there was pretty quickly a mummy and a baby mamien sprawled in the undergrowth and a pile of bone and hide in my pack.
Headed back to the npc-inna-tree, avoiding the scary beasties, including a mawgax that'd spawned for someone elses missions. I hung around long enough to slap some camo onthe player as they arrived on scene, crafting my camp while I waited. At the tree, dropped the camp and....
... the fool toon was in the tent. Fortunately it was a tallish twi'lek female, so the top of her head stuck out enough to /target and /conv, and it worked! Quick look round showed the two other spawns of npc's in artwork had also been 'exposed' by my camp, so I left it up and legged it back to Luke and glowy goodness.

This should really be a seperate post but...

Out of curiosity I used two TC2-Bria toons to try the marauders camp missions. One was MBH, loads of pistol defences, suited, booted and buffed to the nines. The other was my 'normal' MR with Master Rifles. No buffs, no armour.
The MBH was more than capable of getting the job done, even on foot thanks to scout's TN and using maskscent from time to time, but when marauders spawned in camp had no option but to fight, fight, fight.
The MR, on the other hand, had to avoid direct combat where possible (yeah, like he'd stand a chance against Grassland Marauders!) but using camo was able to slip in and out of camp, /burst run out of most trouble, and of course, conceal shot the bigger targets.
You'll be pleased to hear that the MR was by far the most 'fun' one to play, in as much as I was genuinely worried that he'd get attacked and killed by something big, whereas I just knew the MBH could kick a&& till he was the last toon standing... /yawn

I had a blast doing the reb theme park the first time. It may have been because I had a lot of positive imp faction from doing the warren but I could walk right up to the people I was supposed to take prisoner and they would give up without their storm trooper escourt even aggroing me. I felt like I had stealth.
The second time through I got scanned overt and then it was just me, my rancors, and a lot of chaos and carnage. Which was fun too in its own way, but not as satidfying as stealing people out from under their noses.
The graul trick is great lol! And you could always "hit" the nest to trigger more spawns if you needed to.
I had a couple of imperials try to ambush me on the dant missions too (there is a imp city set up right outside the abandoned base so half the missions spawn practically IN the city). Luckily I wasn't teffed at that point so I was able to scare them off with my role playing skills!
All they got was poor "Uncle Joe" who I was escourting to his family reunion. Poor guy. It helped that one of them was a male wookiee - on my server they all seem to be born desperate. Between shouts of "You killed Uncle Joe!" and "Yes, I'm married!" they finally left.
