Thread: Commanding my harvest droid while in Cover.
Hi - yes, conceal shot seems to work a lot better under cover. I've also found that if I go prone, am maskscented (or camo'ed), and don't use specials I can get off a lot of shots before I am detected (that is, if I am ever detected).
My droid seems to work fine from under cover. Here is the macro that I use:
/tellpet fetch'em;
/pause 1;
/tellpet fetch'em;
I basically repeat the command twice because sometimes the droid doesn't hear the first one. "fetch'em" is the command I use for my droid. Tellpet will not accept one-letter commands.
I had some problems one day with using my droid under cover, but after that none. I maskscent, go prone, /takecover, blast away with conceal shot and then send the droid into harvest.
Of course, recently, I've been skipping the /takecover part - at master level I've found that I can just maskscent and go prone and get enough shots off to kill or substantially damage the creature before I'm even detected.
oh ps - as Whupper notes, if the droid doesn't respond to tellpet while under cover, just say your commands in spatial (having a cool-sounding command like "fetch'em" helps) -- that's what I did the one time I had problems with my droid while in /takecover mode.

After a year of being an MCH I finally learn this. They will work, but only "sometimes." This has always been a pet peeve of mine (no pun intended). I blamed on the fact that I use cats, who will usually ignore you in RL as well.

Hehe yep - I realized the other day that my cat has actually trained me to reply to one-meow commands...
Oh well -
