Thread: New Master Says Thanks!

Not too long ago I posted a request asking for help in dropping a profession I loved (but didn't use), for Ranger. I got great info and advice and became Master Ranger two days ago. Long story short, THANKS!!! I love it. I had a blast mastering it and have learned a great deal! Am now MR and MRM. My past knowledge of resources (I lost a lot of money trying my hand at Artisan/Tailor), and the world (past MCH) added well to my Ranger education. The former, for understanding what is needed, the latter for understanding the creatures in the world. As a result I have, in only a few days, made new contacts/clients and made a small nest egg. 
I have learned a secret in the process... (You all told me this but I didn't fully understand it.) -Rangers get a hidden skill, +100 Content !! 
Now that I have the Master tag, I get tells all the time. In two days I have more contacts and contracts than I could fill If I played 10 hours a day. Money is nice but I really enjoy having a profession which is respected and wanted. Strictly speaking I can see that the Ranger skills are not worth mastering two professions. But if I may be so bold, I think that's exactly why I have gotten so many requests for work. The "Master Ranger" tag suggests that the player is dedicated and knows something about the world (other wise he'd choose annother professtion). I have recieved offers for all kinds of work (tracking/hunting/advice) and all of my contacts are thankful and are begging me for work (my head is still spinning).
Please pardon my noobness to this proff but, MR/MRM seems to get me Hunting (MRM), business/barter (MR) and above all Content/Contracts/Bartering and Purpose.
That's worth far more than the 249SP I have spent. Although I must say that if it wern't for my past expierence I would be in the dark.

That is awesome Lycurgus - I am so glad you are enjoying yourself thouroughly!!
TO fully enjoy being a Ranger you have to go into it already possessing one skill: the ability to know how to enjoy yourself. It seems like you mastered that particular skill a while ago!
