0120 rifles for conceal shot and DXR-6b cert
or
0102 rifles for conceal shot and more speed
or
2100 rifles for conceal shot and headshot3
I suppose if you are support, and concealed, speed isnt going to be vital. I'd probably recommend 2100 for headshot 3 which is kickass and a superb weapon IF you plan on outdamaging your creature. If you don't intend to outdamage your creature, then choose more speed, or the option of an acid based attack.

Oh, Ive just realised they need to be in the same branch.

Its a matter of having 12 points into rifle past novice. SO you could do 1/1/0/0 or 3 in one column

Honestly, the first creature past your pets gets a Ranger lunchable.
4 boxes in rifles under Marksman means that 4 out or 5 times you do not shoot the ground or air. You are slow, slow, slow and your accuracy is nothing to write home about. For argument's sake, this is true of any weapon - to include melee.
If you like being a CH, keep it. Drop the MR tho keep tracking, and get a combat profession mastered. Scenario - you and 3 pets are taking on some Rancors. Kicking big butt. Oops, your maskscent just dropped and you aggroed a nearby volitor nasty leezard. Your chances of surviving just hit zero. If you pull the pets off the Rancors, you're toasted. With the skill (mainly the lack thereof) in rifles, you will get 3 shots off and then get ate. At least with a Master you would have a chance; no master = no chance.
IMHO, mastering a combat profession is a must to stay alive, regardless of your other profession(s). I would try mastering rifles, and hiring Rangers to track for you.

Im a CH/Master Sword/Tracking IV ranger myself. Im not proud of it. But for now its like JB said how im staying alive. As a MCH/MR/pistoleer 3/0/0/0 i couldnt solo much. And when i was out with my guild we were on our bikes going between missions so my pets never helped

Hey Wallach
As my sig says, Im a MCH/MR and for the last 45 or so months I have tried SEVERAL Combat professions going up 1 branch 3 boxs.
I was a Pistoleer and went up and got MeleeKnockdown2 and it was awesome. I used a Speedy Scout Blaster and stayed within 30 of my Pets and did great damage. IF I pulled the mob, or picked up a second, MKD2 worked almost always so I could put distance between them and switch my pet to the new attacker. No armor and no buffs when i hunted. Granted, with Pets nerfed, I cannot go after the TOP end stuff.
I tried Swords. Swords was fun, did some great damage and worked up the third branch and got area attack skills. Was good with my pets, but found I was using too much on armor and buffs. BUT I was able to hunt more of the higher end stuff than as a Pistoleer.
I recently switched to Rifles. As they say on the rifles board, unless you master Rifles do not bother. I worked my way up to conceal 3 and was actually NOT using my pets hardly at all causeyou cannot use /tellpet commands while under COVER,my pets just simply sitting and watching. BUT again, I used buffs too much and it took FOREVER! IF my pets attacked, I would pull aggro, if my pets waited, it took forever and sometimes I would pull the entire lair. Speed is a must in Rifles so I dropped it.
NOW I am trying TKA and am back to where I found myself with Swords, too much armor and Buffs for this Ranger.
I am like you, do NOT want to drop MCH, but in all seriousness, either we settle for being massively unUber until they fix our pets, or we drop MCH and take up a MAster Combat Profession.
I wish I could give you an answer, cause I still haven't found one myself.
Good Luck.

Okay, here's the deal, right now I'm Master Creature Handler/Master TKM and about to be Master Scout.
I'm currently wanting to go the first 3 boxes for Tracking to help find my rares, and was thinking of going Rifle. buuuuuut
What I'm wanting to know and ask is how effective against pve would it be to go
MCH/Master Ranger/Master Scout/and 4000 marksman and 3 boxes into rifleman?
And if I did do that, what 3 boxes in rifleman would you go?
Also, I have no intentions of droping CH, like it too much, but I saw the accruacy that Rangers get against animals, so figured with pets tanking a bit, I could get away with standing back out of the way and helping to pick them off. Just thinking, let me know if ya can.

You go either of two ways. Up the sniping tree for speed and accuracy. Or up the tree with conceal to get that shot since it works well with Ranger.

Im not a rifleman anymore. But the others on here will be able to tell you better then i can. Since you have 18 points after MR/MCH to spend how to do it best in Rifle with conceal shot
