My original vision of fighting another player was because of the in-game scenario...for instance if I decide to go with Rebel or Imperial and then go overt...obviously I would be stating what faction I support and am willing to fight for it. In that sense of the game I expected to fight. Since Star Wars Galaxies is so deep, takes tons patience and perseverance, I figured there wouldn't be a lot of immature players. So I'm wrong occasionally.

I'm on Dantooine. I am just northwest of the Mining Outpost at a city (I forgot the name of it). I walk up to the shuttleport to head back to the Mining Outpost and I see a guy right next to it with composite armor on and he's dancing. He's obviously a Novice Dancer...I mean I had never seen this kind of dancing before...it looked like Elaine from Seinfeld where she tries to dance with her thumbs flailing up and her feet kicking out. It was horrendous.

So I go up to the guy and say jokingly, "Are you supposed to be dancing? "

Guy: "Shut the -expletive- up you -expletive-ing -expletive-. Rangers are useless."

And then he immediately challenges me to a duel. I examine the guy. He's mastered nothing, is not buffing, and his health is at 50%.

Me: "What's your problem?" and just stare at him. He's crouched ready to go.

Me: "Dumb ass." and I walk away toward the shuttleport.

Meanwhile he ends the challenge. And then challenges me again. From like 10 feet away. So I say "Alright...screw it." I walk over to him, accept the challenge. He hits me like 4 times, each with less than 20 damage. I incap him in two hits and deathblow him.

I guess I'll always have a place in my heart for incapping/deathblowing the stupid, ignorant and immature.

Just a recommendation since your replies are actually entertaining to read. Kick the size up one notch and find a brighter green. Im using one of the older themes and that green just gets eaten by it.

Actually...It looked good to me before...at least size-wise. Whatever makes Fodder happy, I guess.

I'm singularly cr*p in PvP at one point I was heading towards a -ve rating Still for some reason that used to antagonise the ubergonks and I could hardly stand in line waiting for a shuttle, poisoned, diseased and bleeding without 'Duel me, go on, duel me...' Then some of the folk I was running with at the time realised it was quicker getting killed and cloning that waiting on the shuttles and I got to be designated despatcher.

TBH, I think they were embarrased to have me in their group, lol.

Anyhow, recent player kill. Am breaking in a new toon, he's relaxing in the cantina, toddling a few tunes and clearing BF for himself and my sidekick. Suit of armour wanders in and straight off starts demanding that everyone duel with him. He homes in on me, and I'm like 'no', 'don't duel' 'go away' for 5 minutes with the idiot flailing wildly in my face.

Have examed already, he's got two badges, both local POI's, no profession and while he's buffed he's got no mind buffs up. So equipping a CDEF pistol and still wearing my newbie duds I agree to the duel.

"Lets take it outside" him do say. "Nah, can't be bothered walking back"...

Pop a pixie, quick weapon change to a nice fast spraystick, couple of mindshots and then spam headshot till he's incapped. Deathblow.

The /tells were hilarious. He'd not agreed to be DB'd, was going to report me for griefing, I cheated by changing weapons... Tell you what, I know why I stick to killing animals, they don't complain NEARLY so much, and I can flesh, skin and fillet their carcases.

haha. nice kill. . yeah the only concern I had when examining my victim was although he had no badges and had mastered nothing, he could've been a jedi created before publish 10. But I figured a guy who was that impatient and stupid could never have mastered jedi. I was right.

Plus he was dancing like Elaine for God's sake.

i would deffinatly kill a guy who insulted rangers, especailly is he dueled me and was a newbie. of corse ranger is the best profession in the game! i belive it and noone can ever convince me otherwise. i tell people that and they think im wierd until they try ranger and then they agree with me.
