Thread: After 2222 in Pikeman theres nothing to hunt unbuffed anymore...Or? (Plz help)

From Novice Brawler up to Pikeman 2222 I have gained ALL of my xp unbuffed. It was a victory over the people saying "You cant hunt anything unbuffed,nor grind) and every skillbox was 10 times more exciting than if I would have done it buffed. For the higher skills I have mainly hunted dire cats and tattered tortons. Stuff that you can kill in one hit/KD and it dies (If you are lucky),it have also been alot ofscouting xp (0040)+ alot of fun...
But when I finally got 2222 I found out that there was nothing to hunt anymore..I started thinking of changing to rifleman,but its loooong and boring but still THE Ranger pro to be which I didnt know when I started.. Now all missions I take are simply to hard for me to do without my vicious huf dun (CH 1111) and the ones that are easy just gives around 500-600 xp per kill...Does anyone knowa wayof grinding unbuffed and without armor,or a pet that you can kill in 1 hit and get 1k+ xp...? Or is it over,should I swap to rifleman and give up the 2mil+ xp I have gained without buffing...? Pikeman is sooo fun,and ranger too. ButI cant master CH/ranger/pikeman,which one to choose? Maybe keep som tracking skills and master ch/Pikeman?
Im asking for help and advice,please respond.

Well, pikeman HAM costs make it difficult to fight unbuffed. And the lack of toughness mods makes it hard to fight unarmored. In its current form,pikeman is not a good choice for the unarmored/unbuffed hunter. But pikeman can be a lot of fun anyway. You might want to consider a set of encumbrance sliced ubese to fight in (or even chitin), along with novice medic (and possibly consider some chef food). It will let you fight stuff that gives decent xp without making it too easy. Although someone else might have a better recommendation.

Going out unbuffed is fine for newbies who have no money. As a 2222 pikeman you are no longer a newbie. A buff only costs 15000! You probably make 500000 each time you go hunting.

The problem with buffs is that they make the game too easy. If you get buffed and armored, there is no challenge. He's not complaining about the money. He wants a challenge.
