Tonight I checked my mail and saw that I had missed reading one yesterday. I think to myself, "Very nice haven't seen her in awhile". Upon reading it I was floored. She had grown tired and weary, and was going to pack it in. Didn't know if she would come back. So I am writing this for her.
One night as I was coming into the science outpost on Dathomir, I was stopped by a very young and eager Ranger. She says with a distraught tone, "Excuse me, Master Hon, I talked to Reyune earlier today for some advice on being a Ranger". "You did? How is the old trapper doing?". She told me he was doing well, but was a bit tired from the moving of the city across Tatooine. I know that feeling, I still needed to do move my stuff as well. "He said he would love to teach me, but think it would be better if I talked to the one who taught him." I wonder how she knew I was here? She continued, "He said you were probably helping a Jedi friend, plus you love the moon that comes out on a clear night on Dathomir."
I decided it was a bit crowded, and we went outside the boundries of the outpost to make camp. I answered her questions the best I could. It has been a long while since somebody had asked for advice. We talked into the early morning, when I told her that had some business to attend to elsewhere. "If you would like to explore with me later today, I would be happy to accompany you and show you around", I said. She asked for some Dathomir camo kits, she would like to trek alone for awhile, and would contact me later. "Are you sure? I won't be long" I said, rightly concerned. "I will be fine, I won't go to far," she replied.
So with a trade of a few kits of camoflauge, she bows and says, "Thank you Hon. I am sure we will meet again."
I talked her a few more times after that, as a friend and a teacher. Always ready for the unknown, to explore the deepest souls of the planets, and always presented herself with the graciousness of a true Master Ranger. Being busy tinkering with my Y-Wing, and getting my new house in order, I haven't talked to her lately, and never found out if she had reached Master Ranger. A title has never been more deserving.
Maybe it was the fact that she had done so much alone, never knowing that there are others out there, like myself, that can appreciate what she had been through. I blame myself for this happening to a fellow Ranger.
Reolae, you will be missed. Not only by me, but by the planets that had the pleasure of meeting you. A true Master in my eyes.
"Thank you Reolae. I am sure we will meet again."
** Hon bows with great respect and admiration for Reolae **
"The heart of Tempest hangs low tonight as another Ranger walks away."

People tire and fall by the wayside, Hon. It's sad to lose a friend from the game, but they are always just along the road aways as long as you remember them.
/salute For a parted Ranger.
