So I'm runnin' around on Endor killing Borgles and such when some guy asks me if I've seen any Blurrg Raptors today, that he needs to kill three for the Trials. Now I remember seeing one south of the Research Outpost about an hour earlier, so I tell the guy for 5k (the value of the mission I'm on) I'd drop what I was doin' and start tracking for one. 15 minutes later I'd found it. After he slaughtered three of them, and I collected 675 hide per EACH ONE, he paid me 100k creds.

I charge 50K for my first hour of areatracking. 25K for each hour after that. If its something rare (giant krayts, peko^2 albatross, etc), I want another 50K on contact. I also get harvest rights, they MUST group me and must not ungroup me until I have harvested from the body.
This is for finding. If they expect me to fight, that's another negotiation. Also, prices can be changed. Offer me three of the items looted... I might be willing to refund some of your cash.

I charge a 150k an hour to track anything, the money is paid at the start and the begining of each new hour.

Well. If I'm gonna keep doing this tracking thing, I guess I need my own set of hourly charges. I didn't realize this was such a popular business!

Wow! I have not tracked a lot for people, but I have been a little cheaper than everone else!
What I set up was 15k up front. The final pricedepends on what we hunt and how long we hunt. But, after reading this post, I realize I have seriously undercharged for my services!
Thanks for this post!

I have had very little success tracking anything for anyone. I never do it for pay. Great for others just not my idea of fun or good ways to make money.

If I'm not getting paid 333k per hour then its a waste of time.
Give me some good 100cpu resources to hunt and I'll make twice that much per hour (harvesting is harder than tracking)

So now I have a loyal customer. Last night, same Jedi, 100k for a Graul Marauder.
And for some reason I don't like the contracting for organics concept. I'd much rather go where I want and hunt where I want, and sell my hides for 6 cpu on the bazaar. Those grinders gotta have something.
