Awhile back when I was lvling MCH at the squill caves I noticed something. We all know that youcan only harvest 1 unit of creture resource from static spawns right? Well not exactly. My brain could just be playing tricks on me but I seem to remember that if you pull them out of the caves and kill/harvest them you get the normal harvest for a regular squill. I dunno if that has been brought up before but I just thought id share.

I have seen that also. Anything in the cave - 1 unit. Draw it out of the cave, normal harvest.

Which is why on the Geo Lab enhanced Kwi's tend to get pulled outside and killed. Because it does work

I wonder if this is considered an exploit (probably)... I may have done this in my checkered past.

I really dont know how since its hard to do it on a large scale. If, as you said, they limited us to 1 harvest in a cave to make sure we dont get super harvests then it might. But even in the geo caves case it takes all day to get 30k of the meat off of them. Plus its spawn specific and the danger in doing it is pretty big.

Well, they limited the resources in the caves to prevent camping of good quality spawns. Luring them outside is a way around the intention of limiting the resources in the cave.

We could put doors on the cave so they cant get out?
Maybe a force field using 5 PSG's?
An NPC Jedi at all POI's that uses his mind tricks of controlling pets to force the creatures back into the cave?
Station a CSR at each cave on each server to serve the dual purpose of creature control and making sure there arent 100 people near it

Hmmm... I too am guilty of this. The first time I realized it was possible was when I was being chased by hoards of kahmurah's at the biogenic research facility on Talus. Then I pulled them out one by one and had my pets take care of them outside. I thought it was quite clever

If you are drawing the creature out of its hiding place you are using tactics, the only thing you are exploiting is some bloodthirsty critters desire to chomp on you.
Standing, fully armoured, fully buffed, maybe with a doctor buddy slapping heals into you periodically and virtually (or actually) AFKing a high quality, high spawn rate site, thats an exploit.
Taking your entire guild and their 14day account buddies along? That'd be a sploit.
Being able to drag the b*ggers outside and whomp them in the open, that's playing the game.
peh
you're all lily livered liberals, they'll be going vegetarian and treehugging next.
(sorry, just been to the geo caves - muahahaha... I want to log back in and kill more stuff...)
But no, I don't think that drawing creatures out IS a 'sploit. I'd be wary of asking a thunderheart for a decision on this as they'd most likely go "hmm, nothing to do with jedi? its not got a spaceship? its a sploit."

Hi,
I once pulled half the contents of the torton cave on Rori outside. Great fun, me, the Pied Piper of Rori, being followed thru the cave by umpteen great tortons. It's kinda fun, you got to run back and forth, and the buggers tend to lose interest.
Pudgy, Pudgy, Pudgyyy come to daddy ![]()
What, me exploit? Never, this takes more time than finding wild lairs. The sound of rifle shots is just too deafening in the cave ![]()
Ehh, what is a rifleman/CH doing here? I just might start rangering....sounds kinda fun and the pets are starting to tire me. Comments?
