Thread: Anyone else having trouble using /harvest [resource]?

Whenever I use my
/lootall;
/harvest meat;
macro, I get "You can not harvest MEAT in your current state"?
Did they screw up preparing for the new creature loot maybe?
I want my harvest macros back

Check the meat you are now getting, may have been a shift going on.
You get screwy messages when that happens. Used to be the 24 hr sickly/diseased - now we get this.
At least they give us a clue. Beats finding out the meat you thought was really good and have been busting butt to harvest is not as good as you thought it was.

This is the dizzy/blind/stun/other state effect thing. If you have a combat state, you can't harvest. So if a creature stuns you, you can't harvest it until the stun wears off. At least that's when I usually get the state message (well, usually it's Rally doing it to me).

Wasn't that... you get " You can't harvest XXX in your current state" shen you're dizzy etc.
This was the game thinking I wanted to harvest a corpse named 'meat' when I used /harvest meat;
Think JB was right, must have been a shift.

Thats the message he is getting.
The shift message is "The creature has no harvestable resources".
By the looks of the message, you could be trying to harvest while in a combat state (as said before), or it could be a stance issue (you cant harvest while prone or kneeled). Of course it could be a lag issue if you are trying to harvest right after being in combat, best to wait a second or two after combat I find to make sure.

Sounds like a shift message. I've been hunting stuff before when it shifted, and that's what I got. I think I took a shuttle and came back, and it was okay, but with a new shift of stuff.
I'm still having issues getting my harvester droid to work. I send the same command I always has, it runs over to the corpse, and then... Harvests nothing. (Yes, batteries are fine, and it's not scared off.) When I try to harvest by hand, it says I've already harvested, but nothing showed up in my inventory. Occasionally I'll be able to loot the resources off the mob, at least.
That has also happened to me during shift before, but it's happening a lot more--and not during shift--lately.

just something i've noticed you guys saying, you can harvest while kneeling (not prone) and while stunned just not dizzy andblind. at least i think thats right, because i think i've harvested while kneeling...
