Just picked up factory last night to start turning some of the spare resources I have into crates of traps & camps for my personal use, and I got to thinkin...
Is there a market for other people to buy scout/ranger craftables?
I can't really see that there is, only scouts/rangers can use them, right? And since the scout/rangers can make them themselves, and get xp for doing so - why would they want to by them from somebody else?
The only reason I can come up with would be the convenience/laziness factor. Somebody grinding through perhaps.
What do you all think?
Thanks,

Looks like you spotted the fatal flaw straight off, Cyburtis. If the only people who cna USE them can make them 'on the fly' and get valuable XP for doing so, who is your market? Ditto camps.
Perhaps cammo kits would be a better option? At least it'd let somebody going to , say, Dathomir, arrive already equipped. Whether there'd be much demand, dunno. WOuld depend on your marketting skills.
Also, the experimentation only affects the quantity produced. Unfortunately.

I've had this same thought and am still trying to answer the question.
Some of the primary benefits I see are things like:
- crates of glow wire traps for people grinding
- HTFB for those who can only craft the regular field base but can still use the HTFB if they had it
- crates in general reduce space for those rangers who don't want to craft or don't have a factory
- camo kits - havn't tested yet if you can use camo kits above your skill level, but this may be a huge market for dath camo kits for the non-masters
other than that though, I don't really know. I've also thought that you could expand this to make a Ranger-Scout vendor that offers other prof specific items like relevant SEAs, fishing poles, veghash and other ranger foods, ranger clothing, harvesting droids... stuff like that. I know this cuts accross several crafter professions, but I'll bet that with this kind of customer focus you could make a few sales. I'd definitely look at it as a nice service and something to do rather than a huge money maker.
So that's my feedback to you but I wouldn't mind some feedback on these ideas myself.
Good luck!

Any ranger with the /conceal command can use any camo kit. Non rangers can not use camo kits. This means a novice ranger can buy and use a camo kit for, example, dathomir.

As for camo kits, any ranger with the /conceal ability can use any kit. You only need Wayfaring 1 for that.
However, you can only craft camo kits as you gain the levels and get the schematics. Ie. Only masters can craft Dathomir camo, but anyone with /conceal can use it.
I have a ranger vendor set up.. It doesn't do well, but I still like to keep it stocked with camo kits. I actually hear people ask in RIN fairly often if anyone knows a ranger vendor that sells camo. Some can't craft it yet, and others just want a crate or two for a hunting trip. Plus, it's convenient to carry around a crate of camo that only takes up one pack space.

I'm bumping this because, while I didn't start the this thread, I'm curious to know what else the Ranger community might have to say about this.

I just posted to a similiar thread. I say go for it-- u wont know til you try.
I have a ranger/scout vendor holding the following at cut rate prices...since quality is NA to most if not all stuff we can produce.
- Camps
- Camo
- Fish
- Fishing Poles
- Bait
- Foraged Foods
- Fish Meat
- Traps
- Pets
- Pet Supplies
- grind resources to make some of the above.
as far as the market is concerned..you make the market..this field is few and low..but if you get 1 person in the field of serious scouting and ranger ..well you have a friend for the swg life. plus..your actual overhead is nil.
