Hi to all on the ranger forums I'm a new mid level ranger on Chimera having noviced last week, and just want to say thanks for the useful threads (especially the stickys) and posts that have given me a hand in levelling, gj

RE my post topic, has anyone tested camo with regards to concealment benefits in the Death Watch Bunker? Having read down some threads I can understand the concept not working on the Corvette as it's a separate planet/loadzone, but would bunker mobs count camo wise as 'Endorian'? I'm not at the correct level yet to test a kit having followed the tracking tree first, so if anyone could enlighten me then thanks for your help

i've never tested it, but my guess is due to the high difficulty level of the NPCs there, they'd break the cammo pretty fast.

in fact, i've never tested cammo in any cave or dungeon before.

I've never been to the DWB but I have found that Tatooine camo works in the Tusken Bunker. However, i think it's pretty easy for a high level NPC / creature to break your camo no matter what level ranger you are.Try walking up to a Krayt Dragon with camo on and you'llsoon see. (actually don't try that :smileywink

It works, similar as to how you can use Yavinian Camo Kits in the Geo lab. Don't count on running through the DWB untouched tho. You'll be very lucky if you get past the first room undetected.

It breaks really fast. Like 100-meters-away fast.

I have repeatedly used Tat camo while sitting next to the Tusken Observer, Witchdoctor and Executioner.

Untouched. for a good 20 minutes while waiting for my raiding party tocome back and get me.

I never tried it on the DWB, but have used in other bunker/major quest areas to varying degress of success. As a Master Ranger I would agree that it clearly depends on a number of factors. Since rangers can camo others, it would be interesting to have a lot of camo kits ready and then take a well armed group in camoed and keep trying to keep them as much as possible to see if it is of significant help in that situation. The Old Rancor Cave was a great test (not sure it is still around), I got in and got all the way up to thenest/treasure area inside before they broke my camo. Well enough said about what happened then since I was alone. Lol

Droids break the kits at around 50m and extremely fast too. After a couple of times down in the bunker one of our Master Rangers decided to see if the kits would work though once they broke the droids were right on top of us. A rather interesting way to find out whether or not the kits are of use though was a fun experience in retrospect.

ive used one in the dwb. it worked past the fisrt 2 battle droids at the bottom of the first corridor, but the blacksun guy in the nest room broke it within a half of a second. too bad there arent more hills around there for terrain negotiation.
