would'nt this thread make better sense in the Core Systems forum?

and to say that every profession except for the ones you fancy are all worthless is only your opinion, and not the opinion of everyone.

If you really feel this way, why stay?

3. fix area track

What's wrong with Area Track?

6. Make it so that BHs and Rangers have a greater chance of obtaining BH ARMOR from Black Sun on Yavin. Please? Please?

What do I care about BH armor, or any armor, for that matter?

This is what I think si wrong with Area track:

Area track should actually "track" something, instead of telling me which direction someone or thing is.

If I use the skillselect a "Giant Carrion Spat 110 Mto the NE" it should flash me a system message as to which direction and how far it is as I move closer. If I am tracking a "player" it should do the same.

I am "tracking" him/her/it, by virtue of "tracking" I am following a trailleading to him/her/it,not smelling them down wind and merely knowing a direction.

It's bugged around the 100-200m range for starters. Never been able to pin down the spot, but there's a "hole" somewhere in the tracking range.
(Odd.. I can clearly see a canyon krayt dragon in the distance, but I can't seem to track it)

Some NPCs show up as "animals"... Mostly the new JTL stuff.

And then there's the problem of tracking difficulty in areas of severe elevation changes where things tend to disappear. Although that might have more to do with the spawn system.

Chef? Image Designer? I was never one of these...

I have been a smuggler... PISTOLEER (for crying out loud)... and Bounty Hunter... to name a few...

All broken... all worthless... TKA and Swordsmen (out of the ones I've tried) are the only profs that are really fun and balanced IMHO.

But I'd LOVE to see Ranger become worth the skill points I blew mastering scout. So, here's what I want to see.

1. taxidermy service offered by Rangers

2. removal of skulls from Krayts and other beasts (squills)

3. fix area track

4. Make camps USEFUL again, duh

5. Proposal of a unique building only Rangers can have... say... a fenced in area to raise animals faster through gene/hormone therapy.

6. Make it so that BHs and Rangers have a greater chance of obtaining BH ARMOR from Black Sun on Yavin. Please? Please?

7. Make a quest/dungeon that somehow REQUIRES a ranger to be a part of the process in order to complete the mission (no, the Tat Hero Quest does not suffice).

You better hope JB doesn't see that post.

Think of it as you are looking at a track. You can tell how old the track is. You know how the animal moves. You think, by this time the animal must be 426m away.

Ok, maybe I am over analyzing.

But.. but.. but...

Ranger doesn't even feature in you're 'want' list there.

I love how people try to point out flaws in a perfectly valid arguement. For example, why even bother mentioning the fact I think TKA and Swordsman are the only balanced profs is a potentially limitedview when I already stated "(out of the ones I've tried)." Which would imply to any person of modest intelligence that I have mastered a limited number of profs and therefore do not know or care to know about other profs; like ones that require crafting. No wonder this game is in such bad shape, a good portion of the community it uses for feedback is too stupid for its own good.

well you stated that everything else apart from the two you fancy are "worthless" so that would naturally cause your post to get nitpicked! this is the type of thread that honestly goes better in core systems, you seem like the type that is displeased with alot of things in SWG, you will fit in nicely on that forum board. Doesn't seem like you fit in here, and it has been a while sense someone like you posted here, thanks!
