Thread: Antarians: Imperial Rangers vs. Rebel Rangers
Hi,
I am starting this based on some discussions about the Antarian Rangers and dealing with faction.
Where do are loyalties lie? After all there are many mixed PAsacross thegalaxy (-ies) and I can only assume that the typical order of loyalty is:
1. Friends
2. PA
3. Empire/Rebellion
Of course this varies from player to player, but I would have to agree that this is about where I stand.
The Antarian Rangers have changed my perspective on this somewhat. I am interested in this as an organization and was offered membership upon creation, but as I am a member of a PA and a faction, I was not sure how I would fit into the Antarians.
Upon further reflection I am getting into the idea that we, as rangers, have a bond that is seperate from the duties that our faction (or PA)requires and we instead embrace a brotherhood that crosses faction.
To cite an example I imagine myself scouting a distant plain somewhere alone when I see a lone camp in the distance and with some investigation discover that it is a member of the opposite faction, but seeing that it is a Ranger camp, I can also determine that it is a fellow ranger. Let's just say, for arguments sake, Antarians have a creed that says 'do not harm one another unless it is required'. I could approach this person, and hail them as a ranger respectfully and move on.
I find the idea of this quite entertaining. To me it adds a flavor of honor and nobility to the game that could otherwise be a typical pvp deathmatch.
I am curious, since there is no 'Antarian Identification' how it would even be possible to uphold and enforce the rules of the organization, but it would be fun to try. I also think that in some situations it would be perfectly approriate to attack one another, like participating in a faction "raid". As long as it was done with honor.
Where do the Antarians end up on the loyalty list?
