Guys,

It's funny - I can understand why we come to the boards and post when we've made it to Master Ranger. You want to let the rest of the community know you are here, you're part of them, etc.

But why is that people feel the need to come here and say they're quitting, or they're dropping Master Ranger? I just don't get it. You don't like the profession, don't like the issues, so why are you still coming here?

It's not like you have to give your two weeks notice so we make sure to know where to mail your last paycheck.

The Ranger community is a pretty tight community as far as these forums go.

Maybe some people feel a need to say goodbye to thier fellows here, feeling that they will no longer be welcomed here if they are not "Rangers"?

Maybe they feel guilty for giving up and feel that they need some closure?

I'm not a psych major or anything, but those seem like good examples of human behavior...

Maybe humans are just weird...

Also, most are still Rangers, they are just not Master Rangers. The ones I prefer to read are the ones saying how much better it is having something to what skills they have remaining.... I for one, find that useful. I'm not going to the other profession's boards looking for posts from ex-Master Rangers.

Those posts have helped me to try something new. I have tried some new things, and trying some others. I might not be considered a Master Ranger anymore (since i'm not) but I'm still a Ranger. Besides if those so called Great Traps A Comin ever show up, a few days in big hunting groups, I'll be good to go if I want them back...

I may have never made the decision that's at least giving me "something new" to do for a while if I had not read some of the posts.

OTOH-- I can see where you are a little tired of the one "the class is broken and you cant......" well a lot of them may have just been frustrated they'd spent the time on it.

Ok, breaks over, back on my head.

/emote is just tired of complaining in the Ranger community period. We've gotten much more attention than say Smuggler, or other professions. Very frustrating to constantly read negative posts like "I quit" and I'm retiring because it sucks".

I like the Ranger profession and I like ALMOST all of the Rangers (Ranger Fred is quite amusing at times, NO power camping for you!) as they are a loyal and tight knit bunch.

Be happy. The dev's pay attention to us, and seem genuinely interested in our thoughts and concerns. It's not that bad.

You know, I was caught reading the CH boards today... Help me, I'm starting to waver
