Do both of these do the same thing just warning shot has a higher chance of success?

Yep!


Warning shot works on all creatures but with less chance against ones with high ferocity. For example I find it works for about 2 seconds on Mountain Squills Mountain Worrts will run 90 meters away just like Cu Pas.


Too many people ignore warning shot, but it's great!

Threaten shot is the weaker version of Warning shot . It is useless for anything but the lowest green con MOBs . Good luck .
