Animal traking seems like a cool ability... especially if one is a creature handler. Once animal tracking is performed andthe list of tracked animals shows... is there a way to determine in which direction the tracked animals can be found?

Direction and Distance to the target are received when you purchase the higher Tracking skill boxes.

Can you let us know which skill boxes, offer which benefits? that would really help us guys out who are considering going ranger..and only have finite points remaining for training.

I think Rangers should be able to click on which animal they wanna go after from the list that comes up when you track and have a WP appear there for "Tracked Animal" or whatever. That would be good because I hunt specific animals sometimes to get the kind of fur or meat I want.
