Ranger Archive

I'm on my way to being a carbineer, but in the meantime I'm working on some Ranger skills...now at the first level I have enough to pursue either the tracking tree or the camo kit tree (forgot the real names). Which should I do? Does tracking come into play yet? What exactly are camo kits?

For hunting purposes, tracking will be more useful. For myself, I find it a lot easier just to run around reds or burst run when attacked. The effort involved to put them together is not worth it at the moment.

Tracking is a very usefull line, especially since Camouflage (Wayfaring) is not working very well right now.

Not to be the contradictor here but I'd have to go the other way, camo kits arent super atm but they should be improved. Even as they are now they can be a big help. The tracking line, with the exception of larger harvests is like the other three lines, more novelty than function. Areatrack is only usefull within 1500m of anywhere and even then its not that useful. I've used it maybe a half dozen times looking for babies and that was about it. Camo I always use, it takes a day max to get the res for 100 kits which with experimenting should get you at least 500 uses. They're also alot more effective on the starters except for a few bizarro mobs atm that seem to ignore both conceal and maskscent.

ATM is the key. I have both and I say go with tracking. Especially for hunting it's more useful. Camo kits have great potential, but they are not worth it right now. And you can still use mask scent for now.
