Sorry got tired of questions being asked so I made a title that will hopefully keep the same question from being asked.

So how does the amount harvested compare to a novice ranger with Hunting 4? Does it vary with the skill of the user? Can both the hunter and the droid harvest the same creature?

I have novice ranger and hunting 4 to get resources for my doc character. He also has the survey skill for the same reason. But now it sounds like droids can do this. Is there any reason left to be a ranger at all? Sounds like all I'll want is novice scout and a bit of terrain negotiation unless rangers have a HUGE harvesting advantage over the droids.

Thanks Enderwig

Things have to be tested thoroughly so just wait a few days and all will be clear. Lets keep this bumped

All I'm doing is addressing the first concern...Secondaries like your questions I do not know the answers to. It's up to our TC friends to pass word on to us. Calc can barely play on TC thanks to it being unstable. So until it fills like working correctly lets all hold our breath and hope we don't turn blue.

My big question is were you able to harvest manually after your droid harvested?

No, it tells you that you have already harvested that corpse.

Greetings,

Just wanted to bump this to keep it on first page, but also....

I did not want to start a new thread asking this question as I may have missed it when looking.

How does this feature help us? It seems like it is giving others the ability to supply their own now, so why would they need us?

My apologies for being obtuse or blind. Maybe someone could just post the thread where this has already been discussed.

The highest I have seen a harvest module is 19. I have one droid with a harvesting bonus of 17 and another with a bonus of 33. The one with 33 harvests more than the one with 17, but still less than me (creature harvesting IV)

In theory if we loaded up in the cluster modules the bonus could get all the way to something between 110 and 130 (based on that 19). So I wouldn't put it past a droid being a better harvester than I am at higher levels.

Nice thing about the droid is sitting in kneeling with my carbine, killing a creature and immediately telling the droid to harvest while I start on the next. I can also tell it to go harvest a creature while I'm busy fighting something else. Trap droid was the same way, I could fight one creature and tell him to trap a different one... who then promptly beat down my R2

I didn't group with him so I don't know about a group harvest penalty yet.
