Thread: Player Tracking is useless
yes...
/who <name>
/who rebel or imperial
/who <guildshortname>
but /who only works if they haven't set themselves anonymous.
Who cares what the names are?
You areatrack and see 10 or more players in one area, and they are not in the direction of your base.
Guess what, you just found the attackers. Like I care about names?
Now, being a mean nasty, I like to aggro nearby animals and let them chase me (covert) thru the camp I find. Or, I have been known to dump a scanner and turret in the way, just for giggles. Like within range of their camp.
I have to disagree. I wouldn't say useless, limited, but not useless.
I've used it many times to determine where imps are camping, just by knowing a few names out of a group of people all at one location.

am i the only one that thinks player trackign is useless, all that comes up is the peoples names, i can barley remember soem of the peoples names in my guild, how is a name list gonan help me.I think it would be awsome if it atleaset told you if the persons was rebel, imperial, or nuetral. you can already tell a persons first and last name by there tracks they leave, so why not what faction they work for. right now they only way its usefull is if your trackinga jedi in the middle of no where and u already now his name from the terminal. But then again not all rangers are bounty hunters
With area track for players, I have killed up to 45 imperials in one day. That is I prevented 45 faction missions from being completed.
So yes it is a usefull skill, especially if you track them to thier faction missions, track for npc's and that will show thier intentions.
